Great course, always nice and welcoming. Really good value for 14 holes, you can do the first 4 again to make 18. Shop on site is well stocked with everything you need
Great little pay & play course, especially for me as a beginner. Friendly staff and made to feel very welcome.
Perfect for a relaxing afternoon round surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Usually nice and quiet after 3pm if you don't want the pressure of groups behind you.
The course is a lot better. No food, just tea's and coffee. Toasted teacake, drinks, and snacks. It's a 14-hole course, but you can do the first 4 to make up 18 or an option to do just 9 holes. We played today, and it has dried out a lot.
learned to play golf here back in the day, still call back a couple of times a year to practice before i play the bigger courses. its harder than you think due to narrow fairways, i always play the first 4 holes again at the end to get 18 holes in. staff very friendly.
Great golf course for beginners - intermediate. 14-18 holes. Challenging enough for a good game without being too tiring. Great local pub round the corner too to finish off the round.
Staff are friendly and laid back. On the downside, the course is soft and boggy and this was 2 weeks after the last rain. 18 holes reduced to 14 and greens are slow and spongy. I mean SLOW, don't be afraid to give it a whack. This place is owned by the same people who own The Village golf course further up the road. Don't bother with this as that course is much better. I'd suggest getting rid of this one and focusing on making one great.
Grear pay and play golf course although onl 14 holes you are allowed to do the 1st four again to make it an 18 round.
I am a regular visitor to this course. The course has now been reduced to 14 holes since reopening after lockdown with no change to the green fees, which reduces value and appeal. Greens are variable in quality and bunkers lack sand. Layout is reasonably interesting and not too challenging. Not a great option in winter as it is prone to waterlogging.
A quiet, pay to play, 18 hole course with an interesting mix of long and short holes and some water hazards. There's a little cafe serving tea, coffee and breakfasts. The shop is limited to balls, tees, hats and gloves. The course does get a little wet sometimes and the greens are not perfect but it is all acceptable for the price around £15 for 18 holes. My favourite course north of Leeds because of the layout, the quietness, the cost and the inclusive atmosphere.
