Excellent experience. I couldn't get an appointment in less than a week from my local GP so tried the walk in service. The lady on Reception Helen was superb and got me set up straight away with no fuss. I was in, saw a consultant and out within the hour.nWell done.
Always had great experiences here with the nicest of staff members. Today I was made to feel much better and cared for quickly and professionally. Fully recommend going here if you can, rather than a and e!
On the plus side the staff were very pleasant and the parking is free. The centre looks a bit shabby. One clear sign to replace the numerous paper signs would also tidy the place up. Better ventilation in the atrium would also be good along with an information board advising where you are in the queue and approximate wait times.nnWhen I visited I waited over two hours to see a nurse. From the website I understood that the minor injuries clinic treated strains, sprains etc so I was disappointed when I was advised that because I hadn't had a fall, I needed to go to my GP and ask to be referred for an x-ray. Even though there is an x-ray department on site. These days I find it increasingly difficult to navigate the complexities of the NHS.
Lovely nurses - diagnosed with a fracture and then after an x-ray waited over 3 hours for the next part. My referral went to the wrong hospital and I can't reach anyone at Bracknell although my call is apparently 'important'.
It's genuinely impressive how slow they get through patients here. When I first arrived, I was relieved to see such a small amount of patients waiting 12, however after waiting over an hour here, the only thing they've done is the triage, which is where they just ask you the exact same questions you have to answer at reception, costing the NHS and it's patients time and money for no reason. Then you get sat back at the same waiting room for an inexplicably long time even though there is just over 10 other people in the waiting room. Get used to them, none of them are going to be seen anytime soon.
