I went the loveliest day in the store being followed around the shop by a security guy. I will call it an escort. A VIP one, because of the colour of my skin. I have never seen anything of that sort in my life. I don't think even in apartheid South Africa or the USA klu klux klan did that to black people. Racism and labelling will never end in some individuals here in UK. I suppose it has to be acceptable to be labelled and judged. The story goes on, this guy left my back when the card payment was authorised. I could see that him and those store assistants around him were satisfied that I was not a thief, but a genuine customer. To my surprise, after careful research, I found out that no people of colour around here do shoplifting. I rest my case. I will be visiting the shop again to get a free escort.
Plenty to browse at fabrics etc that u cannot get anywhere else.

Quite an old style department store only smaller and in many cases occupying properties whose architecture falls far short of the traditional department stores. Helpful staff and good prices!

What can i say apart from I LOVE this store. If i have a free day i like to go here upstairs in the haberdashery/craft section im in a childs version of the chocolate factory. I can spent hours looking at all the fabrics anf raft items and if i have time i also love have a good ponder through the huge selection of sewing patterns. The staff are fab up there in the Newton Aycliffe department especially Janet who always has a bit of a chat with me. The prices and selections are really good.fabrics and furs/fleece are very good quality. Ive made loys of furry toys from the furs and ive had no bother with any of them.
