DO NOT BELIEVE the Lancaster accommodation's "student reviews" they proudly show for Bowland College. There are either from 7-10 years ago, or fabricated. If a normal student wished to leave any reviews, they made the process very long and tedious. Discouraging any feedback. The building is old, noisy because of it's location and constant fire alarm blarring. In winter, mold appears at your window since it cumulate moisture in 2h. Enough to fill half of a 1L bottle. The cleaning is minimal.
The student Crowd reviews are falsified. Multiple of my friends who have added their reviews never saw them appear. Some tried to review but someone apparently already created an account with their student mail before them, and when they asked to reset the password, they never received the reset email. Nothing in spam, block list etc.
This place is noisy, have a lot of fire alarm, and the WiFi is unstable. Do not live here. Run. Find somewhere else to stay
I can't sleep. I'm scared. This fire alarm just keeps on taking me by surprise. It can be at 1 am. Or in the middle of the afternoon.
Perfect place if you want to be near the action. Anything cool going down on campus you can bet it's in Bowland
