We stayed one night for my husband's Christmas work do. Honestly I was dreading staying here based on the reviews but was so so pleased with our experience. The staff is friendly, outgoing, and helpful. Really they all deserve a raise as good customer service is so difficult to achieve but this staff was on-point and constantly went above and beyond during our stay. The rooms were up to date and had mini fridge, tea / coffee, an iron & ironing board, hair dryer, an inviting bathtub and a separate shower, extra pillows, and the bed was the most comfortable bed ever. I seriously wished we had booked a late checkout it was that comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and lovely with a large variety including offerings for vegetarians and vegans cooked to order. The pool area was adequate for relaxation with plenty of lounge chairs, and they supply you with a fabulously fluffy robe have seen lesser quality robes in much higher graded spas. My husband did laps in the lap lane, whilst I relaxed in the sauna which was hot but not to the extreme ; they also have a steam room we did not use. The outdoor area looked fantastically inviting although we went in December and did not use the grounds I can totally imagine it would be the ideal setting for a summer event. Definitely recommend.
Great service, great breakfast, very clean hotel. Bad points-booked for 3 people, 1 being an 11 year old. Fold-up bed was barely suitable for a toddler. Had to go to reception and ask for something else. Better zed bed was still bad and we asked for extra duvets to pad it out. We booked a Suite. There were not enough towels or pillows. There was not enough milk for the tea & coffee. The room was crazy hot even though we had turned the heating down as low as it would go. We had to sleep with all the windows open and it was January! This is a 'nice' hotel, but not amazing. We don't use the restaurant as it is not to our tastes, but the breakfast set up was really excellent though. There are an awful lot of facilities-spa, gym, dance studio, squash court etc. Would stay again as room rates are reasonable.
Me and my partner went for a relaxing spa weekend and we couldn’t of been more relaxed and satisfied. The hotel was just stunning and the staff made our stay even more so magical and a all round lush weekend. One lady in particular who was working behind the bar was so friendly and her customer skills where just fab. They where all being so helpful and respectful. The room was amazing and very clean. Literally had everything we needed and more from extra towels, iron board/iron, hair dryer, tea/coffee etc. Such an wholesome experience and would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone. We will be definitely be returning very soon and just to top it off, the whole weekend was such a reasonable price too. 5 STARS ALL ROUND. Perfect for a couple get away.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The staff were totally brilliant. We forgot our conditioner, and the wonderful receptionist managed to find a bottle and delivered it to our room. We also left our swimming wiggles in the swimming pool. And realised this after it had closed. But as promised they managed to retrieve them and I pick them up from reception the next morning when I checked out at 6am. Where I met the wonderful night manager. He was excellent. My 10 year old daughter was treated to a pepper pig colouring pack, and nothing was too much trouble. The staff at this hotel are amazing. We stay here a few times a year. And this cements why we stay here! Thank you!
Excellent service at the desk with very polite receptionist. Room was very comfortable . Very clean . Good soundproofing from rooms next door. Lots of maintenance work going on until early evening which was very noisy. The attendant at the leisure club was rather curt when I asked where the pool was Overall it was good value
Service was fantastic, the gentleman on the front desk was so lovely, especially to our two little ones. The room could’ve been a bit cleaner, the bathroom in particular. The little beds for the kids were also really not great quality and they ended up with us, however the bed for us was huge so that wasn’t a problem. Breakfast service was great too.
Overall a good stay but avoid the restaurant for dinner if you don't want to be ignored. The hotel is located in a nice area close to the New Forest and M27. Large car park and extensive grounds. Seems like it gets very busy due to the Spa onsite. Liked · A larger than average room and the hotel is in a great location. Very clean rooms. Great breakfast. Very relaxed stay. Disliked · Having to wait 35 minutes to get the waitresses attention after the 4 of us being ignored from the moment we were shown to our table for dinner. Not even an apology.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful giving a great customer service experience . Would like to make a special mention for Robert on Reception. He was so welcoming and nothing too much to request. My partner and friend on a previous stay had a guided tour of the facility’s by Robert and was so impressed decided to book the New Years Eve event and an extra night. Maria in the booking department even went out her way to find my partner and friends to say hello in the event evening and wish us as all a lovely stay. Shafon was so friendly helpful and attentive on the New Year event and breakfast. The Hotel is clean and well equipped. The food was good quality and presented very nicely with a good choice on breakfasts and evening menu. The only reason for 4 stars is the hotel is dated in areas, however clean.
Stayed for two days on business. The room and hotel was clean and tidy, but felt dated especially in the room. Very soft bed that I think had seen a few miles. Furniture, whilst in excellent condition, was dated and could do with an update. What let the stay down was the cost of room service; food was OK, but extortionate. A burger, a dessert and two cokes was nearly £50!! Convenience of room service always comes at a price..... but this is off the charts. Internet was also quite poor, not so great for the business traveller. Hilton at the Ageas Bowl would be my hotel of choice in future.
Hotel was clean and well presented. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Location was good for what we wanted to do. Swimming pool was very cold and lacking a jacuzzi. Breakfast was good. We had afternoon tea which was very poor and let down our overall stay. Did not eat in the restaurant due to our experience with afternoon tea.Rooms: 4/5
