Firstly, the young team that work here were all very friendly and polite and were doing their best. This place is not set up for offering hot food of any sort. It should stick to hot and cold drinks, pre packed Sandwiches, slices of cake etc. They had so many orders for breakfast type buns, they had tickets lined up on the wall which looked like something out of an episode of Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares! The Manager did not have one idea of what he was doing and was trying to cook bacon, eggs, toast, sausages etc on this tiny griddle which looked like it belonged in someone’s caravan rather than for business use. After about 40mins our buns arrived both wrong we were given bacon only which was fatty and disgusting. Didn’t bother to complain - I felt sorry for them.
Had an English breakfast which was very tasty, although the egg was a little overcooked for my liking and I'm not keen on their sausages. The food came quickly and was clearly freshly made and hadn't been sitting waiting for customers. The coffee was nice and strong and there was a good selection of pastries on offer. Very clean and the tables were cleared rapidly. Good value for money.
This cafe group has reached a milestone and celebrated their 50th Anniversary. they invited some of the regulars to take part in the celebrations with cakes and sandwiches. This a part of local cafe group and has always been a quality cafe with great staff and varied menu.
Decent enough cafe... the galleries is circling the drain and a long way from its peak in the 90s so really this place is doing well to thrive. It's a clean and tidy cafe and reasonably priced. I had a sausage and egg bap and it was nice enough but the selection of food was limited at 2pm as I guess they have a good lunch trade. Drinks are nice. And the entertainment of the random galleries nutters is never far away.
Will have to say one of the best cappuccinos I've had in years, friendly team and welcoming, some friendly banter between staff and regulars which is lovely to see that they have that connection with their customers and community, would deffo visit if you haven't visited before!
Lovely coffee shop! Cafe. Both drinks and food are really reasonably priced. A good menu of cold snacks, hot meals and cakes too. The staff are really helpful and friendly and there is ample seating although it's much warmer in the actual coffee shop rather than outside in the area they have in the Galleries main walkway. Parking: Parking is within the Galleries shopping mall and is £2 for the first hour, £3.50 for 2-3 hours.
Great spot for a hot drink and some food. Friendly staff and a good menu selection. I have found the tables to be a little sticky which suggests they don’t get cleaned as often as they should.Recommended dishesEnglish Breakfast
Very nice breakfast, good portions and food well cooked. Friendly staff too. Not the cheapest cafe in Bristol but still good value so will certainly go there again.
Was my 1st visit and this fussy woman was impressed. Prices are fair, not too expensive and a good range of food on offer. A bonus, you can choose a cup or mug for your tea, it's the simple things, eh? Will defo be a new stop spot when in town in future Vegetarian options: Veg breakfast on menu Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome Wheelchair accessibility: On ground floor in the galleries, qlgood accessibility
I always find the staff very helpful. I know Fraser from your kingwood branch as he used to work there you have a fantastic person working for you. People like that should be acknowledged for their hardwork. I would also like to say the staff in the kingwood branch are just as fantastic.Food: 5/5
