Located close to Bristol University, stylish decor in a local venue with elegant columns and arches. We ate the Sunday Roast, a typical Sunday dish, very good, recommended!! The service wasn't very good, we were 6, the 6th person was completely forgotten, bringing his order 20 Min later, then another dish that was served "pork belly" was just fat, they have been nice to replace the plate. We asked for gravy to be added and it was totally forgotten too. Then to remedy the mistakes they gave us the opportunity to have the dessert for free, but then with the bill we realized that the dessert offered was only for one person. At least they had to offer dessert to the two people who didn't get good service. Cold temperature inside. The experience could have been better.
Nice place with great vibe. Cool decor and great staff who make it a pleasure to hang out there. They have a rich menu with plenty of options for everyone - we had pies that were quite good. Portions were generous, food was very rich but could be better balanced and with more sharpness. They have a good choice of cocktails too and an interesting wine selection. However the espresso martinis we had could be better. Overall a good place to visit and great to take a big group of people. Also- you definitely need a reservation cause the place gets very busy!
I love this place so much! The decor, the vibe, and of course the food and drinks are amazing. Only a touch on the pricey side and completely worth it for the quality. Highly recommend to anyone for a classy lunch or a fun get together, and the staff are so helpful and nice
A very nice restaurant up to the usual Browns standard and a superb 2 courses for £14.95 offer weekday afternoons and early evening. Service was friendly, informed and timing just what you want. Tried the smoked salmon and steak fries both prepared as well as anybody could hope for.
We had an amazing time. Staff is extremely friendly and the food is sensational. The place is beautiful and we will definitely be coming back. We came for brunch but will certainly try their other options
Food was really tasty and well presented we had the mushrooms on sourdough, butternut curry and the shepherds pie. The staff and service were also excellent throughout, in fact we arrived slightly early and they accommodated us :
Service was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, unfortunately the dish I wanted to have was unavailable. My only criticism was the food was a little dry from the heat lamps and my sauce never arrived. Steak was cooked beautifully. Would definitely visit again and certainly recommend.

Although we were greated with a blunt question: have you got a reservation! Our sweet kiwi Bethan waitress completely changed our experience! Gladly she was not the one who asked us that. Food was delish, drinks also and the environment was great for a Sunday evening! Not at all crowded. Definitely recommend.
We didn't enjoy our Afternoon Tea at all. Cakes had a very artificial taste and were too sweet, you could feel only sugar. Scones were dry and hard, definitely not fresh. Sandwiches were all right. Pot of tea was only half filled with water and it wasn't enough tea. Earl Grey should be a loose leaf tea in the menu, but in the reality it was just a Twinings tea bag.
