At my wife's insistence, she suggested we try a different type of coffee shop. Well, we stumbled across 'Bora Coffee Co' as we decided to give the nearby Costa a miss, and boy, how we were rewarded. I've never tasted Ethiopian coffee before, but after taking one sip, both me and my wife were undeniably converted. The rich, strong and flavoursome coffee have got us both coming back regularly. With a delicious selection of snacks (mainly vegan) and tempting pastries, one can truly enjoy the 'genuine' purpose of what a coffee shop experience should be. Relaxed surroundings and affable and approachable staff only seek to heighten the sensory pleasure. While we are not regulars yet, this is our first port of call when it comes to coffee shops in Shirley. To the owners, keep up the great work, and don't let your standards drop.

Great to see an independent coffee shop here in Shirley. Fab place, great selection of African coffees served multiple ways. Patisserie fantastic, knowledgeable friendly staff with a coffee card reward.

Pleasant and helpful staff, in simple contemporary shop. Coffee is very good, with several hot and cold brews and infusions available. Soft drinks and cake also available. Loyalty stamp cards are there, but you'll probably want to return regardless. A one off artisan experience. Well worth a visit.

Reliably great coffee and friendly service. The owners of this coffee shop are delightful and know their stuff. Great selection of teas, coffee and incredible cakes.

Amazing coffee with an awesome story. Lovely people and an absolute gem in Shirley. Exactly what the area needed rather than more souless chains! Can't wait to make my way through the unique coffee menu and all the cakes. So glad I've finally got round to visiting Bora!
