Fantastic hidden gem! Amazing taxidermy, free entry suggested donation is £3 and loads for kids to do. Today we got to do screen printing, for free! Not too hard to find on road pay and display parking nearby that's not too expensive for Brighton. Staff really friendly. Toilets clean.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very nice old-school museum with countless specimens and beautiful dioramas. Great for visiting anytime and with anybody - family, friends, or solo. It's by donation so please support.
Great visit and lovely specimens. Went on a Sunday and was quiet. Only down side was a rather surly short hair/bearded security guard who was tidying up after some children and made it quite clear and loud he wasn’t happy. It was rather awkward to hear a member of staff express his frustration at doing his job. Other than that a great afternoon and recommend it to all.
Not as interesting as I had hoped. It seems to be mostly a family legacy of keeping someone's collection of stuffed birds with some bone collections at the far end which was my fave area. Many displays are very high up and you can't see well but with so many birds and limited space you can understand why. This place isn't for me. If you like bird species you might enjoy it. It's a shame there's not more variety. Sorry Booth museum.
Rather too many stuffed species for my liking, but I guess it has historical value, plus interesting skeletal remains of some species! Rather cold inside but it's free and it should be cherished, if just to highlight that wildlife is to be cared for, not shot and decimated. It does highlight for me, as a birder, how many species are suffering decline.
Different to most of the natural history exhibitions, which only showed animal samples with short description or featuring mainly the evolution; Booth museum displayed the habitat of most species of UK birds. Everyone will knows where each bird live at a glance, which is astonishing.
Great little museum to walk around, lots and lots of taxidermy to see. Mostly aimed at children but interesting for adults too. Excellent value considering it is free entry.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We never get disappointed with this local museum. Kids love it! Great location as you have a playground and a nice family friendly caffe across the road. The collection here is very interesting and I’ve been coming here since I’ve moved to Brighton. There are chairs and tables, keep an eye for activities for the little ones. There’s place for buggies. Accessible toilet. It closes for lunch.
Amazing collection of specimens! Loads of birds made to look like they're in a natural habitat, and you can tell all of the specimens are looked after well. There is still a variety of other species there too! Quite an old fashioned looking and feeling place inside but I think it adds to the museum feel
Small but very educational we spent an enjoyable hour or two here. Will visit again.
