Books For All was established in 1998 and is the only second hand bookshop in Harrogate. It is easily found at the bottom end of Commercial Street.

Books For All was established in 1997 and is the only second hand bookshop in Harrogate. It is easily found at the bottom end of Commercial Street on the left hand side.

We are always looking to add to and improve our stock and buy single items to large collections. As well as books, we also sell vinyl lps and have a small collection of cds and dvds.

Don't worry if you are unable to bring your items to us, house calls can be made if necessary.

A potential Aladdin's cave. I'm only a casual reader, but I can imagine for the book maniac, this might be a treat of a shop. There are walls of books upstairs. All or most topics are covered with some nice old cover hardbacks. I came away with a copy of The Wind in the Willows for £3. A nice experience and an interesting and quirky bookshop.
What a lovely second hand book shop! There's a massive selection with lots of specialist sections, all at a reasonable price! The staff are friendly and helpful, an overall magical experience. I recommend this book shop to all book enthusiasts!
Absolute gem of a bookshop, these traditional second hand bookshops are becoming harder to find. It's one of those places where you have to keep looking and you will be rewarded for your efforts
Went in for the first time after living in Harrogate for a long time, and can't believe I haven't before! it's such a lovely shop, just authentic and genuine, so much stock, the man working was nice and friendly. Prices are definitely really good, slightly more than a charity shop for general fiction books, but the amount of different types of books, like psychology, history, poems etc, means there's so much choice. Will be back when I finish my books!

What a gem of a shop! There is a book for everyone here and the fact they're second hand makes it even better! All shelves are labelled and organised very well. A must visit when in Harrogate!
First of all, discovered this delightful shop by chance and what an absolute pleasure, a mighty trove of books ranging from Sci fi to children's and all in between. If this shop had a beean bag, I would be paying to sit and read - the smell, the texture and the encompassing welcome will bring me back to harrogate time and time again.
Always find great books here , and always at a good price in comparison to the oxfam books in town !
Me and my friend went here with our kids, we had 8 kids between us and the man working there that day was not troubled by our noisy group. We found a book for everyone. I want to go back with my eldest son and use the opportunity for a little mummy son date, he loves books and this is just the perfect place to step into and delight yourself in really.
Cast collection of books, a bookworms paradise. I go to this store every time I can and rarely leave without a book. Well priced and a great collection!
