A wonderful Indian restaurant with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Made an excellent vindaloo. The lamb curry also excellent. Wonderful decor and a relaxed setting where it’s quiet and you can carry on a pleasant conversation. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Wish I could rate this place higher. They graciously accommodated our party of four about as late as they possibly could, and then proceeded to serve us amazing, delicious food quickly and efficiently, and also politely and with charm. Really, really lovely restaurant with top quality Indian cuisine. My first time here, but it definitely won't be the last! Will take more photos next time.
Atmosphere nice some staff were nice, but thats it , my starter was extra salty, I sent it back. The main dish I had piece of the prawn mixed grill it was so chewy and disgusting, the spices added to the grill was awful, I wanted to send my mains back too, we arrived at 19:30 and after asking three times we got our mains after waiting until 20:35, they apologised and gave us two pinacolada’s on the house, the food was very bad under average Indian food. Two stars are only for atmosphere and drinks thats it! Its 3:21 am in the morning and I have upset tummy while writing this review. By the way the mint chutney sauce was off and tasted like it was fizzy . Funny fact is that they charge so much for their food too!! Very disappointed as it was our anniversary.
Love coming to this restaurant! Closest to india taste you can get in London! Robert as always is a legend! Great service. Would recommend the Chill fry idli, Bhindi, madras chicken and tandoori chicken!
An absolutely fantastic evening. Everything from the food to the ambience and the service were excellent in this restaurant. We were shown a wonderful time by this outstanding team, from our first moments walking in the door until we left. Our servers helped us with dish recommendations, and were exceedingly helpful and polite throughout the entire night. The food is second to none, and the only problem I had is that I couldn’t eat any more due to the perfect portion sizes that left us full and satisfied. I cannot recommend the Bombay Palace highly enough, I am already looking forward to my next visit!
We had a great experience and meal at Bombay Palace. This is a restaurant that we live very close to and have been meaning to try it sooner.. we will definitely be back. We brought our son who is 2 and the staff were incredibly friendly with him, playing with him and letting him feed the fish. Every time he walks by he talks about his "friends" there. We would highly recommend; thank you for the great service!
great customer service food was breathtaking full of flavour defonatly food fot someone living in a palace reasonably priced nice layout if the restaruant with plenty of room between tables not squashed together. but the food was amazing
Decent food in a central London location, however pricey, but real kick in teeth is for the extras like nan and soft drinks which quickly add up and in a large group will double your bill! Advise stick to the water and plain rice, then enjoy the rest of the food freely and it will be a great compromise. Shame as you feel a little sore for the extras, but overall it is a London venue so fairly likely you will now be ready for this when you book now so will soften the blow. In summary I would go back if looking for a good meal in London.
Our concierge recommended the Bombay Palace to our group. The staff was accommodating to our dietary restriction, chef even came out to discuss options. We asked for suggestions and they kindly brought out the best of the best. Delicious! Some of the best we’ve had in the UK. Vegetarian options: Wonderful lentils, okra and aubergine. Dietary restrictions: Even went through the trouble of frying in fresh oil gladly.
Great service and a very friendly and professional staff. The food was in my top five Indian meals ever. Make sure to get Madras Sauce on the side but try not to just spoon it straight into your mouth as that would be rude. Tandoori chicken legs, Chili Paneer, Lamb Rogan Josh - all excellent. Fairly traditional curry house but executed perfectly - not oily and with some subtle and well balanced flavours. Going back soon.
