Lovely venue for certain events. I went representing the University of Bolton. Organisation was Semi decent, the food and festivities were free and lovely, the staff there seem highly experienced and very informative on subjects and opportunities they offer at the College. This institution is also partnered with the University of Bolton so it’s great for prospective students.
I don’t understand how people are giving negative reviews about Bolton College as I found it very good. I read reviews and am not agree with any of them as my experience is totally opposite. The staff is very polite, they answer phones and help as early as they can. Specially I would like to take a name “Mr Steve” at student services, he’s such a great man. Solved my problem within a day. Very supportive, very calm and kind person. Am glad and thankful. Such staff should be highly appreciated as they doing great. They’re doing so well for adult learners in free courses too. Me and my colleagues are very happy with them.
This college is the worst the staff don't care about people with disabilities all they care about is themselves along as there paid for nothing no help nothing if u have any sense don't send ur kids there
The staff are nice and the courses are ok. However some of the rooms e.g the theatre are filthy.

worst college ever as i got kicked off my course for having covid. i was kicked out of my house and they expected me to get to college everyday even if i was on street all night and they say it’s a safe college yet it’s active as. oi nah kicking me out for nothing and saying they were going to pick out of me and my lad who was going leave the course coz he took care of me
Worst college in Bolton. Wasted a year of mine as the college lost my photographic evidence for the end of year exams. I also have a younger brother who has learning difficulties. Not one day has he had assistance or things explained to him in a better way. If the teachers can not identify a perspn with learning difficulties and act. Imagine how unsafe your child really is in this kind of a place.
so unorganised. currently at this college. last year i started forensics level 2, and needed to resit my english gcse. my tutor last year, told me i didnt have to resit, but i would have the opportunity to if i wanted to this year. wrong information was given to me and i should have resit last year! i had to fight to get onto my level 3 year 1, and i enrolled to do english this year since they give me a chance after all the tutors and head of the department had a meeting to discuss this. enrolled for the course AND to resit english but have only just now at the end of april/beginning of may,started attending my english lessons when my exam is in june! im not happy now as i will probably fail from not catching up with english lessons from september, and i wont be able to progress onto my level 3 year 2 which will be devastating! they need to get this sorted it won’t help anyone in life jumping from course to course because the college cannot get students their classes sorted. we pick certain courses for a reason and we cannot progress when we dont have the gcse’s, what about the staff that dont help and say theyll sort it out but leave it months like they did to me and other students?! it isnt fair when some students know for certain what field of work they want to do but cannot get the right qualifications because of how unorganised bolton college is!
The worst college ever like all the others one star reviews say are true and if I was being true I think this college needs to be shutdown bc one day I was in college I went to get food from the upstairs cafe and I was waiting in line to get something to eat when I noticed one of the cake they was selling was out of date and I told them it was off and they did nothing about it and do not get me started with the staff omg they r so rude to students is unbelievable they have no respect for the students what so ever nd if I was ofsted I would shut it down what a waste of two years of my life
Tutors cant be bothered to teach. Receptionists can't be bothered to answer the phone. Nobody cares, better off at Wigan and Leigh.
