Blyth Town Council is a Community Council at the most local level of Government. We provide an expanding number of services, events and also a voice for the residents of Blyth delivered with local knowledge and commitment.

Blyth Town Council was inaugurated in April 2009. The first election to the Council was held on 4th June 2009. The Town Council was formed to fill a democratic deficit left on the creation of the newly-formed unitary authority Northumberland County Council. This had replaced the previous Northumberland County Council and six district councils within the county, one of which was Blyth Valley Borough Council. The Wards and your Town Councillors are as follows:

We provide a small number of services, events and also a voice for Blyth delivered with local knowledge and commitment.Blyth Town Council work in partnership with Northumberland County Council to provide core and enhanced environmental services in Blyth.Blyth Town Council is directly responsible for the following services across 8 wards in Blyth;Allotments, Blyth in Bloom, Bus Shelters, Events, Litter Bins, Play Areas, and War Memorials.Blyth Town Council also offer a Community Grant Funding Scheme to support groups and organisations in the Town to deliver activities and projects that benefit Blyth and it's residents.Blyth Town has 16 Councillors."

Why can you not report repairs to council properties on line when everything else is covered. Every time I try and do something in any walk of life to a business they ask if you can do it online, not Blyth Valley Council.
