We decided to go with Jonathan due to his attention to detail when drawing up the quote, and I'm really pleased we did, because this continued during the build itself - thankfully he discovered the existing extension brickwork wasn't level before he had started to build on it, and was able to rectify the problem. Although not the absolute cheapest quote, his price was nevertheless competitive, and I would say worth paying a little more for. He was happy to amend plans slightly several times as the build progressed, he kept to the schedule throughout, and was always clean and tidy. He even took the time to repair our driveway where the skip lorry had caused a few blocks to come loose! I have already recommended him to our neighbours, and would have no hesitation doing the same to anyone else.

This was the first time I have had building works, and was nervous after hearing all the stories of mishaps, overruns and budgets going through the roof. It was a fairly complicated extension with a 6+m steel needing inserting in the outside wall and some technical hurdles to overcome. From the first Jonathan was understanding the project, works with great designer to get the plans drawn up, and planning sorted. Had timeline and budget that was very competitive. Work started on schedule, and even though a January start date did not miss one day through weather. Kept on schedule for the whole 3 months finishing 1/2 hour early at the end. Impressive. Jonathan works with some great sub-contractors for Electrics, Plumbing, Kitchens and plastering. All worked in harmony with each other.. At every stage we were kept up to date with the timeline, was impressed at the problem solving and budget keeping. The project management was spot on, and every aspect was explained and options explored. The site was always spotlessly tidy and cleaned up at end of each day, that really helped when living on premises while major work carried out. We lucked out finding Jon and Blueprint. Got the same feedback from all the suppliers as well, saying they are always tuned in and pleasure to work with. Schedule always on time so they can plan and makes for a smooth project. Quite simply brilliant. Would not hesitate to recommend. Happy to discuss if anyone wants more info on any aspect.

We are extremely pleased with our new lobby and first floor extension which Jonathan and his team constructed on time, within the budget and to a very high standard. Jonathan was innovative, showed excellent attention to detail and was quite prepared to work to our exact requirements. He also ensured that disruption to our daily lives was kept to an absolute minimum although we were kept fully informed of his plans and progress throughout. The site was left in a clean and tidy condition every night, and minor issues were immediately addressed. Our neighbours commented that they had never seen such quiet and efficient builders. We chose him because he prepared a credible quotation, took us through it in detail, and was happy to revise it until all our requirements were incorporated. He was at pains to keep the building water-tight (rather important for a first floor extension) and achieved this by building a temporary flat roof, rather than depending on just a tarpaulin or going to the expense of a ‘top hat’. The only subcontractors he used were for windows and doors, plastering and wiring, and all were planned in at the appropriate time.

I worked with this company on a larger project as a subcontractor and I found them to be fair and professional. I was paid on time. Friendly and good teamwork

Blueprint Building Blueprint Building Services were asked to quote to build a 2 storey extension to our house. I had 3 quotations returned which were all very close in price. After interviewing the 3 companies concerned, I choose Blueprint because they impressed me the most. Jon Schofield produced a programme and payment schedule before the project started; I was therefore able to monitor the programme against actual progress on site; which gave me confidence when making payments. Jon always turned up when he said he would and if he thought he was going to be late the next day he would usually let me know. The site was kept clean and tidy and was cleared at the end of the job. Jon’s work was, in my opinion to a high standard as was that of the sub-contractors he used. There were some extras, which is inevitable in a job of this nature. There were no ‘surprises’ and all extras were necessary and considered to be at a reasonable price. Jon and the labourer’s he used were always polite and courteous; when they were working in the main part of the house they took all reasonable actions to keep the dust and dirt to a minimum. I would have no hesitation in recommending Blueprint Building Services. Derek Simmons
