Got there around 7pm. Was told to come before 6pm in future. I asked if this is because it’s a bank holiday and they said no. Looks like they decide what time to close for the day based on vibes. Was looking forward to riding the boat and went to the park specifically for this. Don’t rely on the advertised closing time on google which states it closes at 8pm.
super fun experience in the pretty battersea park! it’s quite pricey but that’s london for you, it’s so fun for a date or to bring the kids. Defo recommend to have a try!
Lovely and cute experience for a decent price 8£ per adult. 30 minutes was plenty but only 1/3 of the lake is actually accessible. So many ducklings followed us it was cute. We saw, different ducks, geese, swan, and two herons and some dragon flies.
A nice thing for the kids with good prices. We payed for 30 minuets and had a very nice time. I imagine the boats can be a little uncomfortable to sit in for an hour though. Good experience and friendly staff.
Disability Discrimination - I checked the website before we went, and it says that pets are not allowed on the boats, but Service Dogs are. I was therefore not expecting any problems! When we arrived, we were told we would not be able to hire a boat because pets aren't allowed. I explained that Rowley is my Guide Dog trained by The Guide Dogs for The Blind Association UK, and he was wearing his harness so very clearly identifiable as one too! Even after explaining all of this, they continued to say no. I told them that refusing access to a Guide Dog is against the law and that their own website states that service dogs are allowed! They said the website is wrong. I eventually gave up and told them I don't want to give my money to a business who thinks it's ok to discriminate against disabled people anyway. They said they weren't discriminating, but they literally refused me access because I have a Guide Dog, something I need because of my disability! It absolutely is discrimination. It is against the law, and it is not ok. I don't put with ableism anymore, so I'm calling them out - Bluebird Boats Battersea Park, do better! We wasted our time as well as money spent on train tickets to come and do this, only to be illegally turned away. This behaviour is disgusting, and staff need to be made aware of the laws about Assistance Dogs in the UK.
Shameful to see you illegally refusing someone as they had their GUIDE DOG with them. Discrimination. Nowhere is above the law. You can't refuse someone because of an assistance dog.

Lovely way to spent the afternoon. Adult £8/adult for half an hour and £10/adult for one hour
The view is beautiful, the lake is small and the limit the sailing space, the guy is annoying.
It was very peaceful. And there are many ducks and swans in the pond.
