We took the river cruise down the Thames in London to Greenwich. The staff gave a humorous and informative commentary of the sites along the way. Kept you engaged and pointed out so much along the way. They even slowed the boat down so we could take pics of a large sailboat going under the Tower Bridge. I appreciated that very much. We visited in late Sept 2024 so there wasn’t a need to purchase tickets in advance. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the cruise very much.
I liked that I could book my trip 2h before departure , was let on board half an hour earlier before my booking. Boat wasn't overcooked. We departed from Westminster Pier. Saw Big Ben, London Eye from different angles and finished reaching Tower Bridge . Had amazing tour guide/staff member who made trip a lot more enjoyable. Was looking for a more relaxing way to get from Westminster to the Tower Bridge in time for a few things booked whilst on a visit on 5th September. Booked in advance direct with the company online which made turning up on the day easy. The commentary that we got from one of the crew was an added bonus. Very informative and very good fun. Really did make the journey even better. I didn’t get his name but was on the 12noon ride. 100% recommend

An Honest Family Review After browsing through various river boat companies I decided to treat my family to a wonderful boat cruise along River Thames by choosing this company during our UK visit in August 2024. Although the entire 1-hour cruise all the way to Greenwich from Westminster was enjoyable it didn't exactly fill my expectations. Overall sightseeing was beautiful but felt the facilities were bit cheap see those regular uncomfortable "kitchen" chairs standing unsupported in the picture?. Arrived 20 min BEFORE our scheduled 3pm departure and ALL the outdoor seats were already filled so we were forced to take the seats inside. It's important to arrive 30 min before I guess. At least once we arrived at Tower Bridge pier where most folks took off we were then able to move to the front. The only reason I gave 4-stars and not 3 is because of the tour guide announcer. He had such a deep historical knowledge and the way he expressed himself that my teen son took an interest to listen and truly enjoyed this history lesson I guess. Thank you.
Had a lovely morning from Westminster to Greenwich. As mentioned by others the boat is old but perfectly functional & full of character. Drinks & snacks were available to buy throughout the trip. Arrived a bit early for a 10.30 am departure. We bought tickets in advance but all was very orderly with the queue with others. The crew soon introduced themselves, helped us all aboard & explained health & safety procedures etc. Highlight was definitely Danny with his very comical commentary of the famous sights. It really made the trip. Would not hesitate to use this company again & it’s a stunning way to see the sights.
Fantastic way to experience the sights of London! With interesting and hilarious commentary from the on-board guide. The pier is clearly marked with their branding and friendly staff are at each one to check you in. The bar is Cash only, so make sure you bring somefor drinks and snacks. The guides may suggest you give tips after their commentary, totally worth it imo, be generous. Some of the boats have power-points down-stairs for phone-chargers. I bought the 2-day hop-on hop-off pass. Almost everyone gets off at Tower Bridge, but I recommend going the whole way to Greenwich and back. Much better than the Uber cruise.
This boat ride was by far one of my favorite things I did in London this trip. The knowledge of the guy on the intercom was impeccable. Having lived in the UK for over 20 years, I’ve made it a tradition to cruise along the Thames to Greenwich at least once or twice a year. This journey, marked by the refreshing breeze and London’s iconic skyline rolling by, has always been a cherished way to experience the city. However, despite the appeal of the scenery, my experience with Thames River Sightseeing has been increasingly tarnished by the unprofessionalism and attitude of their staff at Westminster Pier. Each visit brings the same frustration: employees who seem to treat certain passengers with visible disdain, particularly those who are people of color. Their conduct feels shockingly unwelcoming, with the staff’s demeanor veering from dismissive to outright rude. I cannot ignore the sense of discomfort these interactions create, which is unfortunately enough to overshadow the enjoyment of the cruise itself. In a city as diverse as London, it’s disheartening to encounter such attitudes. I hope Thames River Sightseeing seriously considers addressing this issue to foster a genuinely inclusive and welcoming experience for all passengers. Until then, I would struggle to recommend this service to others.
Highly recommended! Took an overseas visitor on this cruise to Greenwich and back. Excellent way to see London from a different perspective. It gets more interesting from Tower Bridge onwards. I booked online - quite easy, they give you directions to get to the pier
