Very welcoming! The staff were friendly and obviously knew the dogs I was visiting really well and treated them with love. They gave me lots of advice and then, following the dogs having dental appointments, kept me up to date with how they were doing, as I waited for them to be ready to come to their new home with me. I can't praise Burford Blue Cross enough!
I have rescued guinea pigs from here twice now, always super helpful and informative. Pumpkin just awaiting the last of his post op isolation before he can join my main set up and finaly meet his new lady friend
Am amazing rehoming centre with fantastic staff. We were looking to adopt a rescue dog after losing our last beloved pet. Saw a shih tzu and applied. The process was easy and the form not too daunting! Within 12 hours received a call and arranged to visit to meet him. We were lucky to be a possible right family for the right dog at the right time and distance was not an issue. The staff were so very helpful, there was no rushing, no pressure at all. We were enabled to take our little boy home and its only 24 hours but he is already settled and found his favourite spot! Can only say be patient, adopt dont shop.
I was dealing with a Blue Cross member of staff. I felt the true cost of adoption was hidden from me. The dog I was interested in had been out for adoption with a couple. I was informed I would have to pay the cost of microchip the dog. My thoughts were that it should have been done already. I was informed the dog required neutraling, I was happy to pay the £260. Then, by chance, I read to the terms and conditions at the bottom of an email from Blue Cross. It stated there was an adoption fee of £250. Which covered the cost of neutering, vet examination, and chipping the dog. On further enquiries, I was then informed that the chipping fee and neutering fee would be paid to me not at my vet rate but at Blue Crosses rate with their. Vet it was stated the neutering cost to Blue Cross was £60. I spoke to Blue Cross vet. The vet stated that the £60 might cover the cost of neutering a cat but not a 40kg dog. I had already had my female dog neuter. I knew the actual cost before starting the conversation. Hence, I was not happy with the adoption process. I felt I was being misled. A drip at a time..
Such a lovely positive and caring place. Jade couldn't have been more helpful and patient with me when helping with a new furry companion. They do amazing work and the facilities and people are all confidence inspiring.
The Blue Cross have rehomed my two 4 1/2 yr old cats today. Their professionalism and friendliness are second to none. Even in these difficult Covid times they have adapted to the situation brilliantly. I will be forever thankful for their attention to detail in matching pets to new homes, and keeping you informed every step of the way. Thank you so much, especially Emily. Jackie McPherson
This is a great place, we sponsored a mouse and then decided to rehome him. The staff were so friendly and helpful but also made sure we were prepared for the new member of our family. Rex came neutered and with a full history and medical certificate. They have also followed up to make sure everything is going well. If you're looking for an animal to share your home then the PDSA is a good place to look. They clearly care very much for all of the animals that come their way. Thank you for bringing Rex into our home he is the best little mouse I've ever met xxx
A beautiful, loving place. Plenty of room, truly caring staff. Our rehome dog came from Burford, so well cared for, veterinary treatment, can recommend, thank you Burford, so wish everyone the very best MW
Had a call from Jade at Burford Bluecross about rehoming my cat and she was such a comfort. So clear and kind. Bluecross really is excelling at what they do and focus Mainly on the needs of the animal! Scrupulously and relentlessly finding a new home for their charges - God bless you all and extra thanks for Jade - That initial call is so important and your tone set me at ease right away. x C
Excellent staff all ready and able to assist. Pleasant surroundings.
