Called in this pub while passing didn't no what to expect as we walked in we saw a sign saying no mobiles conversation pub thinking nothing of it we were met with a very friendly landlord who introduced himself and then proceeded to give us a full tour of his bar and beers giving us samples and tastes as we went. It was a large big pub with a few rooms large car park and a old fashioned pub look there was a few people in and friendly atmosphere no music on and the landlord explained mobile phones weren't allowed which was a bit unusual but would go back beer prices varied from very cheap to expensive
Resisting the gentrification of Levenshulme, we can find this authentic pub. Not a bad selection of beers. Good atmosphere to go for a chat and a drink. They have a nice beer garden as well.Service: 5/5
Amazing English atmosphere, and very lovely and hospital owners , they offered complimentary delicious sandwiches and shared the recipe, and free tasting of beverages after showing interest in the cider. They had a great rule of no phones or laptops which encourages real interactions. Definitely recommended :

Been here today for a group lunch after yôga class and loved it. People were nice and warm with us, pricess were fair, best carot and coriando soup ever, amazing roast and we even got cupcakes. The only negative point is that is cash only but as long as you're aware is fine.
Great atmosphere. Went with the guy I'm seeing, saw a couple of friends. Competitively priced beer

Nice pub. Nice staff & landlord. Leave your mobile in your bag or pocket. If Mr Samuel Smith comes into the pub on the off chance he will shut the pub down if he sees anyone with an electronic device. Even if your not using it. Better still put it on silent. Atmosphere in the pub is really nice and friendly.
Great traditional pub with a fantastic beer garden. Beer is in great condition and very competitively priced. Mark is an excellent landlord and goes out of his way to make everybody feel welcome. Highly recommended.Service: 5/5
Had the loveliest time here on Thurs evening with my partner. Sat in the beer garden surrounded by nature drinking reasonably priced lager! Mark has created a little oasis Service: 5/5
