Blakes Of The Hollow

About

Renowned for its traditional Irish heritage, Blakes of the Hollow Is one of the most famous and well recognised Victorian pubs in Ireland. It is a must see

Story

The bar keeps its tradition to the best of its ability and yet suits all different age groups. The snugs are a testament to this, crowded with groups of people looking for a famously poured pint of Guinness or a delicious Irish coffee.

Live traditional music is played every Friday creating a genuine Irish pub atmosphere that is not one to be missed.

As well as the Hollow Blake's also boasts a two floored Atrium bar which is open weekends and holiday periods, the Atrium also has live music every Saturday with #BigBandSaturdays

Level 7 is our function room, with discos running during the holiday seasons. We also host comedy nights every 3 months.

The Atrium, and Level7 are both available for private parties...Contact The Hollow for more details .

Totally amazing proper pub. I wish it was my local. Great atmosphere, great beer, great friendly service (very smartly dressed). Game of Thrones door which I was very excited about.

Cafe Merlot: lovely decor, warm welcome, but the food and the incorrect bill!!! I ordered the Fish & Chips and quite honestly I had to hunt for the fish in the batter! One piece ( there were 3 very artistically arranged pieces!) literally was all batter😧 The side salad was the best part, but alas that is not the principal part of the order! I didn't check the itemised bill ( I was busy chatting!) only to discover when at home I had been charged for 2 glasses of wine ( I ordered and consumed only ONE!!) Very disappointing, and disappointed. This review covers only the restaurant downstairs; the bar was a wholly separate experience, and positive😀

Visited here to see the GOT door - talked to the 2 gents for ages - had lunch...the guys were great crack - some other "tourists" came in too. Had a lovely lunch there - wow the food was great! Really recommend it for the food alone. Nice old style pub - with plenty of features & history.

Northern Ireland has quickly become the home of Game Of Thrones with fans flocking here to spot the famous filming locations. So, after Storm Gertrude destroyed trees at the Dark Hedges, which served as the backdrop for the Kingsroad in the hit HBO series, an idea was formed to turn the disaster into a tourism opportunity. Ten intricately carved doors, depicting moments inspired by the sixth season, were carved from trees blown down in the storm. Here: Pollnagollum Cave in Belmore Forest is part of the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark in Co Fermanagh. The cave is fed by a waterfall and swells to a torrent during harsh weather. The cave was used in Season 3 Episode 4 as Hollow Hill in the Riverlands.
