We turned up as they closed the kitchen but the chef said I was fine and let us have lunch anyway! The staff were fantastic and the food was actually incredible! Best burger I have had in 2 yearsFood: 5/5
Been here for a meal very recently, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The chicken & duck liver pate starter with salad was delightful I highly recommend it! Our main course however although nice was just huge, not to be ungrateful but you could've only had 1/2 of that on your plate and still would've had some left afterwards ! I would definitely go back here again, some people could argue it's outdated interior decor wise which I agree but you shouldn't let that spoil your experience, it doesn't deserve to be as quiet as it is, it's very good quality food and I'd definitely like to come back here again. There's a free large parking lot around the back too so no need to worry about parking!
Plenty of parking, nicely presentated staff were very welcoming. Took advantage of the 2 for 1 main food deals. Pub was not busy, food arrived in good time and tasted great. Will alternate between Red Lion and here now.Food: 5/5
A pleasant and comfortable evening out. Staff are wonderful. A fair menu choice in these difficult trading times and food well prepared.Food: 5/5
Pleasant surroundings and the staff were friendly and prompt. Went on a Sunday and though the menu was good, the roast beef was a slight disappointment. The beef looked like it had been put through a slicer and the veg was sparse. The three roast potatoes were on the salty side don't add more salt the Yorkshire pudding and gravy were tasty however. The wine was served in a dirty glass but I cleaned it with a napkin. An ok meal but for the price £11.50 I expected more, quantity and quality. Would I go back? Yeah I'd give it a second try.
Lovely atmosphere. Service was pretty good food was nice. There aren't a lot of Gluten free options but the chef managed to rustle up something for my wife who is gluten intolerant. Good sized car park.
Everytime we have been it's been very quiet, no one in restaurant, didn't stay for any foodService: 4/5
The staff were all so friendly, polite and helpful. The food was wonderful. The place had a lovely atmosphere.
This was a visit after many years and was always good, this time was not as good as it was , I had roast beef and my friend she had pork , the pork was tough and very think cut , she was not impressed with the dish, but on a good note they did offer a replacement meal, duck leg was ok , staff was very good to us, so we was happy with the service. Some things are never the same , maybe different chef who knows.
If you like a pub where kids are running riot unsupervised with London beer and food prices, then this is for you! A pale example of what the ‘tiles’ used to be a few years ago……,
