First time here and it was lovely. Went for dinner with a friend & the atmosphere was lovely, the bar staff & kitchen staff were so friendly & welcoming, the service was brilliant & the food was amazing! We got served by Dan & Arron they were both so friendly & polite. Dan was very easy to talk to and made sure we were satisfied with our meals and drinks. We will defiantly be back again soon
Danielle our wonderful barlady could not have been more helpful today as I'm disabled. She brought the drinks to our table, smiled and made sure we felt at home. Excellent service. The small plates were delicious. We ordered 5 for £18.50.wowser and yummy. No complaints there from Claire our chef. Those pickled onions were the highlight. Nothing left. Now watching the football in a great atmosphere. Love it
Went for lunch with a friend of mine, atmosphere was lovely, bar staff and kitchen staff were friendly and welcoming to us, food was served quickly and was delicious. Had conversations with Dan who appeared to be new but was very approachable and made sure we were satisfied with the drinks and food. Will definitely be back thankyou
Top service as always from Steve and team- made to feel very welcome. Brilliant food and beer selection too. Really recommend visiting, especially for a World Cup game atmosphere and tv’s were great.
I am the quizmaster every Tuesday at the Black Bull. Generally Aaron and Dan are the bar staff and last week there was a massive turnout. As usual the tables were sorted, the microphone etc was provided and the 2 lads served the customers in their always pleasant and polite manner. They are both a credit to themselves and more importantly to the pub. Thanks to what you do to make every Tuesday a good occasion.
To start off, one star is a very overrated review. We waited for over an hour for our food in a pub that had around 5 tables in 2 of which were eating. Two pies were served to the table with cold gravy and half cooked pastry, we then waited another 20 minutes for another 2 meals to be served leaving two of us without food while the rest of the table ate. At this point we tried to complain to a member of the staff who was very dismissive and didn’t seem to care at all. By the time the last 2 of us got our meal the rest of the table had finished. We understand that all checks were not sent through on one however, they were all sent in seconds of each other to be able to eat together and enjoy the meal. Will not be returning this isn’t the first time this has happened to us.
I've not been in here for ages, but went in tonight with my mate. Great selection of food and drinks, bar staff Aaron and Danielle are so friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be coming here more often. Keep up the good work guys

I went round the blackbull for a couple pints with some mates, and the service i received in general was excellent, I will definitely be returning some time soon, I would like to give a special thanks to a lad named Aaron who gave a wonderful service!
I went in a few nights ago for a couple of drinks after work, was served by Dan and Aaron who were fab, was lovely to meet them and will definitely be back.
