I’ve taken a while to write this review as the majority of my stay here was good. This is a nice accommodation and great for making friends. However, when covid hit in 2021 I had to go home to my family. I returned in July to move out. When returning I realised student living had thrown out almost all of my kitchen stuff and all of my bathroom stuff. Anyone who’s moved out knows this is expensive kit. I had also been robbed of all my possessions earlier that year and I’m a student so this significantly impacted me. I reviewed this to them and got no response. They also said I had no packages when I was moving out despite having sent me out an email saying my package had arrived and I got a notification from seller it had been delivered. The next day when I’m back home in Ireland, they rang saying they found the package and I must pick it up within 2 weeks or it will be disposed of! I couldn’t get a flight over for a single package, they refused to hold onto it until I could return despite this being their fault. I had to pay a friend to drive up from Bristol to Manchester just to collect it. Honestly, they need to learn to have more empathy and compassion. They don’t know what an impact they can have on students lives.
Really nice part of the campus, good location and halls in good condition. Rooms very warm, so bring a fan
Great halls of residence for Manchester university students. Very secure and ideally situated. I was more than happy for my daughter to stay there for the first year of her degree.
Photos just before everyone moved out... Experience wise, some will love it some will hate it it's a really nice location feels more like a hotel than accomodation, some houses had Christmas dinners and fell in love with each other some had people moving out left right and centre, having 12 people in one house means you have more likely hood of meeting someone you love but also more chance of meeting people you hate, it's just luck I can recommend the experience but with a bit of caution it'll be the same anywhere... At least the house is big, your room is nice and there's an abundance of students... There wasn't much community feel on my end, people from each house mainly kept to themselves after the first few weeks so just network early on is my recommendation. Also get a co op student card, you'll be doing little bits and bobs a lot Just smile stay out of drama and rise above any drama that will start unfolding. Also a note EVERYONE goes to Hot Mess at revolution every week so enjoy that hahaha
Great place to stop for group events. However no crockery ,cutlery, pans, washing up gear etc. Difficult if self catering and not eating all meals out.
Great spot. The ledges are capped but work great as a manny pad. There is also a gap to manny. Alot of possibilities here and no security to kick you out!
this is the fourth time we’ve been left with no hot water or heating because student living ignore our complaints
My Daughter had no hot water for 2 days
Great campus. Clean and tidy. Easy access to the city.
Go for a townhouse - don't get a flat. They're well hot
