We have clinics at Birchwood Medical Centre in Creekmoor, the bhlive gym in Corfe Mullen and also at the Oakdale GP surgery.We provide expert physiotherapy assessment and treatment for all musculoskeletal conditions such as aches, pains, sprains and strains. We treat back pain, sciatica, shoulders, necks and of course all sporting injuries like runner's knee.Our prices range from as little as £36 for children, £40 for a regular 30 min appointment and £52 for an initial 45 min visit.We cover all main insurance providers and will liaise with them directly on your behalf. Our teenage daughter had extremely tight hamstrings and was in a lot of pain. Five sessions later and she is pain free and enjoying sport again. The communication is great, the exercises are demonstrated in person and emailed through in detail and the staff are amazing with both adults and children. I highly recommend Birchwood Physiotherapy.
Birchwood were recommended to me by a friend and I will have no hesitation in recommending to anyone else. I was in a lot of pain with sciatica and Paul helped massively with my recovery, including putting my mind at rest that there was a road to recovery, working on my flexibility, recommending the correct exercises and suggesting the right level of cycling when I started to feel better. The service from everyone at Birchwood was excellent and everyone I dealt with were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely use Birchwood again if the need arises.
Referred to Birchwood Physiotherapy following a car accident. My physiotherapist was Stacey. From my first treatment I knew Stacey was the therapist for me. Stacey is very professional and knowledgeable whilst demonstrating a genuine interest in her client as a person. She treated the whole situation not only the thoroughly effective exercises but also too building my confidence as my leg affected by the accident gave me several falls. I cannot thank Stacey enough. I would definitely recommend and return if ever needed. Helen who organises all admin and appointments and is your first point of call couldn't be more helpful. From referral being accepted appointments were booked quickly and efficiently. Any change of appointment easily done- nothing too much trouble. Thank you.First class service all round
Birchwood Physiotherapy were amazing. From the care and reassurance shown by Alison to get me out of my aircast boot after my Achilles rupture to the dedication shown by Paul in motivating me to walk and exercise again. I am now walking freely and am extremely grateful for their excellent care in helping me through my recovery. I would definitely recommend them.
Alison and her team really helped me easy my back pain and continue my active lifestyle as usual. Alison’s approach was unconventional but very effective! she focuses on helping patients change breathing patterns, key muscle activation techniques and how to stop bracing core muscles. Simple fixes that helped me understand how to release fascia and move and train better. Thanks Alison and your amazing team for all your dedication and knowledge

Following a knee injury sustained on a tennis court earlier in the year, I was referred to Birchwood Physiotherapy. The initial examination and assessment process was thorough and very professional, which in itself inspired confidence. Over a period of weeks I have been guided through a progressively more wide-ranging set of strengthening and conditioning exercise routines, and this is already reducing pain, discomfort and joint stiffness. James and Alison, both of whom have treated me at different times, are clearly very much experts in their field. Their approach is focused, friendly and effective. I recommend them very highly.
I was referred to James Rainsbury at Birchwood after persistent back pain for 18 months. The pain was worse over night limiting my sleep to 4-hours. I had already been to a different physiotherapist who had been completely unable to diagnose the issue or make any progress. Further, I had spent the last year getting into fairly good physical shape with regular exercise and a good diet in the hope this would relieve my symptoms. However, nothing I was doing helped with my back at all. Within a very short time, James was able to pinpoint the source of my issue and devise a physiotherapy plan which granted near-immediate results. Within a week of seeing James, my sleep window had extended from about 4 hours a night to about 6 hours a night. I worked with James over 4 sessions in total and over the course of about 6-7 weeks. During this time, back pain reduced, my results improved and continue to improve as I've entered self-management of my condition to the point where I can now regularly sleep for a full 8 hours. The pain hasn't completely gone but I now feel confident in my ability to manage it. I can sleep well nearly every night which makes a huge difference to my ability to work productively and to be more than simply functional as a dad. It's hard to express how convinced I was there was nothing that could be done to improve my situation but with James' expertise and guidance and importantly sticking to the physio plan he gave me I'm now most the way back to normal. If you're in any doubt, pick up the phone to James. You could be surprised at what a difference he can make in a very short time.

After suffering from acute sciatica, I was desperate and in tears, my Husband found Birchwood Physiotherapy through a local internet search and it turns out that the amazing reviews were to prove to be like winning the lottery. Alison has been calm, reassuring and so professionally knowledgeable in every aspect of my recovery, nothing is ever too much trouble and I certainly used Alison for emotional support, texting her in between appointments, so many times.
