I was a little wary of this place being a chain I usually prefer to support independent restaurants where possible but I was specifically looking for a hearty vegan breakfast & their offering sounded worth a try. I was very pleasantly surprised! The breakfast was great; very tasty & an impressive variety of ingredients on the plate. Staff were friendly & very accommodating. Happy I gave it a go!
I came here for my birthday lunch and it was lovely. The Eggs Benedict with fries was gorgeous, and the puddings were very delectable. The service was a little slow but as we weren't in a rush it didn't impact our visit this time.
Met a friend for lunch. Had a lot of dairy free choices which was amazing. Staff were really friendly and did not rush us to order food. I didn't take any pictures of my food, sadly, but I did of a golden latte, which looked like a glass of custard but in fact was a coffee with turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, coconut milk and agave. Truly a unique taste . If you have not been to Bills then I suggest you give it a try. I will definitely be back.
It is worth going here, if only because of the old building, interesting interior and funny, old crockery. The food was pretty good, but nothing more. Prices are above average. Overall, not bad.Food: 4/5
Food tastes really good, kind and tentative staff and calm atmosphere. Been here in large groups 10 - 15 and it's great for catering to lots of people. It's a little pricey for what it is with a classic burger being the cheapest thing for just under £13 and the salads being around £15 and steak being £20. Vegetarian options: REALLY nice salads with a good variety Kid-friendliness: Wouldn't say its much of a place for kids as it maintains a calm and peaceful atmosphere Parking: Best to park in the arndale, otherwise not much parking without a good 10 minute walk minimum Wheelchair accessibility: Everything seemed to be flat entry
Good location, cosy ambience, warm people, and great food. I mean, you can't go wrong if a place has all that, so give them a try. It'll be worth your time.
Good service from friendly staff who are happy to accommodate most requests. Some may consider the menu slightly limited, but the food it does offer is great
Lovely breakfast meals. Scrambles eggs with salmon and cream cheese on a bagel and the all vegan option. Both tasted great!Food: 4/5
After reading the good reviews, I thought I'd try it. However, it was a disappointment. Maybe it was an unfortunate evening. Less than 1/4 of the courses were available from the menu on Sunday evening. Large room, in the centre and comfortable, but I don't recommend it
We booked and when we turned up the lady behind the counter ignored us for at least a minute. Then said she would get someone to deal with us. We waited a few minutes before someone came over and seated us. Staffed seemed like they couldn't be arsed to be there. I have been to Bill's in Bath and that was a totally better experience than here. The food was served and was okay. The pancakes just seemed like it was all put on the plate with no effort. Bit of syrup on top then mainly blueberries. No syrup in the layers of pancakes, so the others that weren't on top were dry. I've had the same in bills in Bath and they were presented beautifully and loads of fruit and syrup in between the pancakes. It's a shame as if the effort was there it would be very yummy and better experience.
