Terrible company. Dealt with my nephews child fathers estate and constantly refused to give any information to my nephews guardians on his inheritance. Probate now granted and my nephews name is not on the document or has he, or his guardians received any information whatsoever as the solicitor, Peter Leech, refused to communicate with us thrighout. Be aware. This company has caused a lot of stress for my family, when all it would of took was a phone call, even to advise us if he isn't allowed to discuss it.

I used BHP for family law to work through a child arrangements order and finances in the divorce. I found Amanda and Leanne to be a great help. Ultimatly though, due to the legal costs involved I could not afford to carry on using them i spent over £10k.... I ended up completing proceedings as a litigant in person.  In doing so, I understood what was required to proceed through court. In hindsight I would not use BHP again for family proceedings. Looking at what I actually got for my money, I felt that they could have had more of a duty of care to ensure costs were kept to a minimum from the start. From initial sign up, advise should be given on the do's and dont's to keep costs low. i.e. tell me what I can do myself, dont waste time emailing about x/y/z etc.

Have been dealing with Dorothy at the Durham office for many years for both purchases and sales of properties. She and her department have always provided a professional service that is both thorough and efficient. Very good value. Would definitely recommend.

I have been a client of BHP Law in Durham using their family law service and I also saw a solicitor to help me draw up a will. I have been impressed by the experience I have encountered with the solicitors I have used - who have struck a perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, putting me at ease, giving support and advice in some difficult situations and have enabled me to get good results for what I needed. I wouldn't hesitate in using BHP Law again in the future and have already recommended them to friends and family.

Their service was brilliant. I was able to make contact at any point and ask any questions. Unlike other solicitor firms, the solicitor handling the case was the same throughout and worked hard towards a more-than-acceptable result. Much appreciated, very recomended and i will use again if needed.

I wish to extend my thanks to Ruth Markham of BHP Law for the successful settlement of a very long dispute over the terrible results of my dental treatment from 2014 through to 2015.  When I originally went through all of the available channels in an attempt to register my complaint and claim for the work and all damages incurred, I had little or no positive responses. This includes the many “Personal Claims” services offered in advertisements by various law companies on the TV, as none of those companies felt that they had a sufficiently good record for success when handling Dental Claims. Eventually I managed to find a company who would take up my case  -  BHP Law - and one of the partners, Ruth Markham, took control from the very beginning to the eventual successful end in the autumn of 2018.  It was a long and grinding road as the defendant’s insurers were very, very reluctant to settle Ruth’s very reasonable claim for all damages incurred,  but eventually Ruth was successful and the case is now settled and closed, much to my great relief. I really cannot thank Ruth enough for her continued efforts throughout my case. Many thanks to Ruth.

Really Poor Company, poor customer service!

Wouldn't trust this firm ever again. Frankly discusting way they presented my case with no defence at all. And caused me to lose access to my son after 11k they got out of me! Be warned!!

Fantastic solicitors would highly recommend them Jane fergusson has done a fantastic job doing my claim I couldn't fault them at all. I would like to thank them for everything they have done for me
