Fantastic Easter Sunday. Staff all really friendly and nice to my 2 year old. Boat ride, scones in the cafe and a pirate ship to play in. Really muddy this time of year but totally worth it.

A brilliant place to bring the kids or go for a leisurely cycle ride. Decent parking, a really good café, and a well-designed play park for your little ones. I've been coming here for years, and is a great place to spend a few hours with the family.

Terrible mud ruined a family day out on the bikes. The first mile or so was fine as some gravel tracks but it soon stops and was an unpassable boggy muddy experience. Had to turn round after 2.5 miles due to mud. Got back to the bike hire place where an unhelpful chap told us we couldnt wash the mud off the bikes as the hose was broken. Loaded thick mud coated bikes into car, walked down to restaurant only to see the unhelpful chap washing mud off a bike....why employ people that have such little interest in customer service. Parking was £3, map for £1 wasn't worth it, no place to get lost round a circular walk. Would be a lovely place if the stone path could be laid round the lake. Food was nice.

Great place to visit, £3 for all day parking, loads of open spaces, cafe, bike hire, walks around the reservoir (13 miles in total!). Good all round family day out.

Brilliant place for young families, clean, reasonable parking costs and yummy restaurant. Can't wait to take my children here again.
