Popped in on the off chance was shown to a table quite quickly however the table was noisy next to some unruly children that parents should control! We were swiftly moved to a better table . We had the set roast menu excellent choice I thought for the price. Starters were lovely,plenty as well. I had the beef it was delicious and my partner had the slow roast belly pork which was lovely also. Excellent value for money and good service.

Arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon, no booking but a table was available. Unfortunately the waitress failed to log our order on the computer (technology huh?) and we waited a good hour for our starter which was recompensed with a free round of drinks. Soup was tasty but luke warm. Main course only came after another 30 mins or so wait. Again it was tasty but cold. Didn't help the plates weren't warm. Not worth the expensive price unfortunately. Felt sorry for the staff, clearly over worked, maybe it's not usually that busy.

Attended for the lunch menu which was 2 courses for £13 (I think). The goats cheese was phenomenal, I could have eaten it twice! Fish cakes were also tasty. Only criticism is the room was cold, I was freezing throughout the meal! (food was hot though!) Great value lunch.

Slightly disappointed with the food but perhaps expected with the half price menu. Find it lacks atmosphere.
