Not only the worst Sunday dinner but the worst meal I've ever been served. Yorkshire pudding soggy and swimming in grease and under cooked. Some veg was just mush,the cauliflower was literally raw same as the carrots. The meat was stone cold and the condiments were out of date. Literally the worst food I've ever encountered. We had 3 adult and 3 kids Sunday dinners and over 90% of them was left. The chef said they've had nothing but good reviews and today's dinner state was because she was on her own. Could understand if they were busy but there was only us in the entire pub for food wouldn't eat here ever again.
Visited The Upton Arms for Sunday lunch and was warmly greeted by the landlady and the staff. Food was top notch, piping hot and delicious. Staff was welcoming and punctual and did everything they could to ensure we had the best experience. Also tried the chocolate sponge with custard which was an excellent ending to a fantastic dinner. All in all a great meal and brilliant service. Would highly recommend and without a doubt a place I will be revisiting in the near future!
Food is way over priced gravy is like water and the roasters are soaked in oil. Would not recommend , no I am not trying to ruin a business either! The staff were friendly and polite! It was more the quality of the food which every restaurant does different and I do understand that! I did have to stand and wait with my baby in my arms for a high chair after asking 4 times though , my table was mucky and had a spider dangling from the ceiling which is why as you may have noticed every plate other than one had the same amount off food on it that it had on at the start! Sorry if this is a problem but I wish I would have read more off the reviews before attending thank you
Can't speak to the rooms. Simply popped in for a quick beer with my son.nFriendly helpful, pleasant staff. Not too busy. Customers pleasant.nFair selection of drinks.Floor clean, tables clean, language clean.nnParking outside. Tables outside frontage/beer garden at side as well.nNice old building.nnRecommended.
Only second time we have called in since the new tenants/managers have taken over. Vast improvement.
