Central, modern and safe. Helpful staff.
Best way to sum up that car park is with pros and cons. Pros: Good location for Abertay University and city centre. Lots of spaces. Reasonably priced. Cons: Payment system is antiquated. Dark, dingy, and depressing. Bad toilet-like smell, especially in the stairways. In conclusion, it's not a great multi storey car park, however it's not bad enough to outright avoid, especially if you drive to Abertay University.
This is by far the best building in Dundee, it even outshines the new V&A . If you are looking for a once in a lifetime car park experiences this is the place for you. Built on the site of an old graveyard.Only a tiny section of the graveyard survives - there are a few of the original tombstones built into the West wall. Over the years there have been many stories of strange sounds, such as muffled cries, sobs and wailing that echo around the car park. A lot of this strange noise can be attributed to the many Junkies that roam the stairwells, or the Dundee High School yummy mummy's trying to park there giant 4x4's. The top two floors have no lighting. this is a must for the more adventurous car park enthusiast, one recent visitor commented that it felt like being inside of an Inspector Rebus crime scene. Visitors better be quick to take in this experience as Dundee city council have promised to pay the electricity bill and have the top two floors reconnected. This hi tec car park that doubles as a needle exchange boasts three number plate recognition barriers that don't work. The main safety features are it's close proximity to Bell st police station. The main attractions. 1: Blue plaque The Wall Street Journal travel writer parked at Bell st , and Dundee city council are planing a blue plaqu on the site to celebrate the mans decent in to madness as he declared Dundee Scotland's coolest city. 2. The lifts Not even the scariest of Alton Towers rides compares, to the terror, feel free to piss yourself it seems most people do. 3.The views Five stars all the way, I am planning on bringing the family next time.
Woman on intercom was rude and completely unhelpful to many customers standing at the intercom due to the card machine being down, and had a disgusting attitude. She should have to retake her training in customer services.
Good location but times lack flexibility. Built on an old graveyard if you're into that kind of thing. There are still some headstones in the outer wall.
Was concerned about parking there after reading some reviews, but it's all good & safe
The electronic payment service wasn't working so they let us park and exit for free
Overpriced, filthy and not somewhere to be after dark. Some very dubious characters to be found hanging around on the stairs.
Very convenient to access Abertay University Campus
Park here every day. Its attended, plenty spaces, clean lifts and stairs.
