Belgique does have its good points such as it's location, it's variety and it's decor which although becoming slightly outdated is cozy enough. The negatives are in relation to other similar places it's overpriced, the service really does depend on who's working and the consistency of customer service is variable. The coffee is average at best and the crockery is most definitely long overdue an overhaul. It does provide outside seating which is a plus however beware the unsteady tables. As far as their pastry's are concerned their is a wide variety however how fresh they are is up for debate. Belgique really is a Mish mash of what's good about Chingford station road and what's not.

Here to report an incident in Belgique Chingford. After a Brit offended Black ladies and 1 Romanian. It became so noisy and nearly violent. Good thing they have CCTV but not sound ;-( I had to intervene as the staff / manager for clueless. No action was taken on their part - not even call the Police. Ending up paying £20 and leaving with other adults crying to avoid a fight. UTTER SHAME AND COWARDICE. This was reported to Met Police TODAY - CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE = ZERO Didier Delmer

Nicely situated cafe in the centre of town. Great selection of cakes and pastries and the overall decor of the business is relaxed and tidy. Slightly over priced in my opinion, but perhaps the quality of the products justifies this. The waffles and coffee are very good to be fair.

Their Vegan range... ZERO! Their glossy menu talks about how they cater to a diverse palate.. mentioning organic and vegan. Right next to their vegeburger with an egg on top and mayo/cheesy looking sauce. So. Ordered the tartino - a sandwich featuring a vegetable spread. They didn't have it... It turns out. Absolute fail. Ended up with green tea. So to recap. They mention ORGANIC and VEGAN in their menu, yet not one item is listed as such. Keeping my money in my pocket!
