The food is okay, just not very exciting. On this occasion that's what was wanted since my father isn't adventurous when it comes to food. The triple cooked chips were (and always are) excellent! The service is usually friendly and is much faster than it used to be. Up until about a year ago they always seemed to take ages to bring your meal even when they were quiet. Now this isn't an issue. The desert menu is more limited than it used to be.

went there on sunday as a group of 5. very poor service because very short staffed. they couldn't even clear the tables which other dinners had left over plates, glasses and mugs. we had to move them onto another table to make it look good. the food was nothing special considering what they were charging. its all frozen food from iceland or somewhere like that. i wouldn't go back again for a meal. the only plus point, the atmosphere was very pleasant so good for drinks only. avoid eating there.

The atmosphere at this place just after 5pm on Sunday was so relaxing. My girlfriend and i had early dinner here and the service and the bill was reasonably good too. Would go again when we're passing by.

Never too crowded which is good. Reasonably priced pub food, eaten there plenty of times and always been well fed. They often send us offers from our Beefeater card which gets a couple extra glasses of wine or an extra starter for free. Decent for gluten free meals too, important for one of the family.

Most of the breakfast staff are so unwelcoming not even an good morning and miserable faces. You would not think the job is customer based. There are times when bagels/croissants are stale and the cooked breakfast is dry overcooked or heated for too long and to wait 15 mins for an item because no one can be bothered to check there is enough food for customers is ridiculous. Evening, the cooking of steaks is hit and miss rare can mean medium and medium well done. The funniest thing is one of the manager's thinks he knows what a poached egg is, but sorry you are miss informed I have had plenty and not one like what your restaurant served up. It would be a good idea to know what a clean restaurant means as well No dust on lights above tables etc or food chasing around the floor for days or chips on the floor at breakfast from the night before.
