Story

Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will.
Beefeater believe in two things, a warm friendly welcome and serving incredible steak that you can kick back, relax and enjoy. We are ideally located for a well deserved meal after a busy day's shopping in St Helens town centre, enjoying the rugby at Langtree Park or taking the kids to Knowsley Safari Park

Second time at this beefeater. First time we sat in the bar area, second time was in the restaurant for a family meal. On both occasions food has been very good when it has arrived, but on both occasions has taken an hour to arrive. The restaurant was not particularly busy on either occasion. The lady serving our table on this occasion was very friendly and accommodating, and was also training a new staff member, did have to ask a few times for drinks we had ordered, that again took a little while to arrive. Overall, great food, but service and waiting times could be better.

The pub was very warm and welcoming however we visited the pub hoping to sit in the beer garden as it was a lovely day. Very disappointing!!!! The beer garden looked like an after thought that only had a few picnic tables and nothing else. It was basically the rear of a building that some tables had been placed in. I expected a lot more from this chain of pubs and to have at least somewhere for my two children to play. Get with the times Beefeater!!!! The space is available to create a lovely beer garden. What's stopping You????????

Our waitress Alex was very attentive. We were a party of 7 adults and one toddler. Alex ensured the toddler meal came asap. One member of the party had to leave early to go to work. Alex ensured this person's main meal was served as soon as the starters were eaten. Friendly staff, crayons and colouring sheet for the kids, vouchers are really good we got 40% off the mains, took our own birthday cake. Food cooked well, served nice and hot, good value for a family night out, great evening.

Lack of any draft ales disappointing although had some bottles in fridge. Service good even when crowded. Good breakfast though. Helpful & friendly staff.

The food here is always great and if you fancy steak it is a good choice. There is plenty to choose from too. The staff are friendly and always polite. The soft drinks are bottomless which is good if you have kids with you. All round a great place to eat.
