Unlimited breakfast for £9.50! That includes hot drinks and squash. There is free car parking outside with plenty of spaces. The restaurant is split over 2 floors but we have only eaten downstairs. There is a buffet spread with the continental breakfast. Once seated your order is taken for the cooked breakfast. There is a wide range of food on offer. We have tried both the scrambled and fried eggs. The scrambled eggs were either powdered or done in the microwave, either way, they were not great. Love the sausages and smoked bacon. They are generous with the baked beans which is a relief. Definitely reccomend for a lazy Sunday. Kids eat free bonus. Hit or miss with staff. Some are brilliant. Probably best to book a table. We never have but are always asked if we have and normally get some grumblings.
For a LED relighting project nearby, our team stayed 5 days at Premium Inn and had dinner deals at Fountain Beefeater. The breakfast was wonderful but there is not much healthy diet choice for the dinner menu. There is no much five a day option and too much chips and fries. Ordered 8 Oz sirloin steak medium raw and so much part can't eat.
Nice to sit on the warm. Free WiFi available and plugs if you need to charge. Asked for mayonnaise and was told it’s ‘at the back’ rather than having it brought over to me. The portion of chips was minuscule wouldn’t have satisfied a five year old let alone me. Ladies toilets were poor. Toilet seat hanging off and a dirty toilet brush to look at whilst you hovered over the pan. Bit of a shame and a long way from the beefeaters I remember.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service. It was really slow and we had to wait a long time to be seated and to place our order. The food was just okay, nothing particularly memorable. To make matters worse, the heating in the restaurant wasn't working properly and we had to keep our jackets on the entire time. Overall, it was a subpar dining experience!
Unfortunately not a lot of pictures as my phone died on arrival but if you have been to a beefeater before, you know what most of the meals look like. My son choose The Fountain for his birthday lunch so we had a booking for 12. Seating was great and well as the service. It gets extremely busy on the weekends but somehow the waitresses are able to stay on top of it. A bar upstairs is the only thing missing for the busy weekends
Went there without booking. Seems empty but wouldn’t let us get in without booking ! What a bad management. Says people will be coming!! Good luck mate, but priority should be given to those who are there ready to spend their money. We weren’t even given the option to sit outside or eat quickly and b off
Came for lunch with 9 friends and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the food. Service from Anna was excellent. Really enjoyed it. Vegetarian options: Lovely spinach and ricotta cannelloni. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces when we arrived at 12.30
I visited for my birthday. Now I must say, the food was good. After waiting a while for it to arrive it was very tasty. However, I have a few complaints. Service wasn't great, we were so close to the table next to us we might as well as sat with them. The child activity paper was very poor. The paper was shiny which made using the crayons that kept rolling off the table almost impossible to use. Now, here is the worst bit. My mum used to toilets in the bar before moving to the restaurant. There was no toilet paper in either cubicle so she told a member of staff they weren't short staffed. They said they would fill it, when leaving after an hour or so, my mum used the same toilets before a long drive. Toilet paper still not present.
Was looking for a warm friendly place to have breakfast with our little family. Should not have come here. The young girl was pleasant but the lady in charge was short and just rude. When the breakfast came it was warm but not great. The sausage was rubbery and chewy. When I finally got to speak to some one I was told I could order more food but it was a long wait and to go and wait at my table. Me and my kids were over it by the time the 'lady' came. Unlimited?? I don't think so! Won't be here again! Shame.
The waitress Chelsea was amazing but the Manager on duty was rude and his Customer service was shockingly bad. No greeting on arrival. When he did come to the front he looked at us like we were an inconvenience. Table wasn't ready. When waitress seated us we were told there was a wait for hot food but we could help ourself to buffet which would have been fine if there was anything on the buffet. No bread, 2 pastries, no juice, no plates, no glasses, 1 teaspoon. When I asked manager for teaspoon when he had a minute he said "ok when we get chance". Food was good when it arrived and Chelsea went above and beyond but service was poor, not enough staff and very rude manager
