Beefeater Bull

I eat here quite often because it is cheap for breakfast and local. The problem is there is always an issue at breakfast. A case in point today yet again only half the tables in the restaurant area are in use but they still won’t take walk ins. After some discussion they eventually let the three of us sit down but for continental breakfast only. The management here is joke. At no point were more than 60% of the tables in the restaurant in use. This is sales capping at its worst if, the management want an easy ride they need to move away from hospitality. You can’t turn people away from a half empty restaurant. This place has had a dodgy breakfast reputation for a long time and until they sort the management team out it will continue.

We made a booking one week in advance of the 06/01/2018 for four adults. This was as a treat for my son and his wife. When we got there we was told we had to wait for a table. We joined the queue to get a drink from the bar and when we where finally served we found a seat. We had to go and find someone to see if our table was ready, which it was so we took a seat there. A waitress come over and took our order for food and drinks. After the best part of an hour we got our food. I had chips on my plate which was supposed to be mash, I told the waitress that this was fine as I didn't want to have any more delay. The drinks that we ordered never did turn up, so after eating we had to go to the bar to get them. It would have been nice to have a drink with the meal. When ordering the food my wife had asked the waitress if the chips on her choice could be exchanged for rice which it was, but on the bill we had been charged for the extra rice. We have been to many Beefeaters all over the country and never had cause to complain. This is our second visit to this one and after our firs time we said we would never go back, but we did give it another chance. We shouldn't have.

Staff and service was very good and helpful. Food tasted nice. Great value for money.

have been a few times and the service is always wonderful and the food always lovely. I recomend it to all. Good for food or just a drink. Staff are always very helpful and polite.

Very busy, not enough staff to cope. Some of the food came up cold and had to send it back. Apart from this, staff always try to do their best and are friendly.
