I would like to sincerely thank the staff at Bedford College for their excellent support. The team was very professional, polite, and understanding during my interview. Even though I have difficulty with English, they were extremely patient and considerate. I truly appreciate their kindness, their clear and quick responses, and the way they made me feel welcomed and comfortable.nnThank you for making the experience so positive and supportive.
The behaviour of some of the professionals towards students they don't like is disgusting and no one cares to investigate safeguarding concerns raised regarding them. We've complained several times. Please improve for your next cohort and take this as constructive feedback.
FOR ANIMATION STUDENTS-nThis course is a major disappointment overall and teaches you no proper animation skills except the basics, if you want to get into animation I recommend going somewhere else because this course is not it, there's no animation teacher in the whole course which wouldn't be too bad if the teachers knew what they were doing and would actually teach you animation for once.nnAnother problem I have with this college is the safeguarding, for the whole 2 years I've been here a student has been harassing women and has gone scot free which I think is disgusting and should've been sorted ages ago.nnTo address the animation situation, I know it's animation and illustration but half the time you only get to do it once or twice a year, usually you do Lino printing or something completely the opposite of what you wanted to do when you signed up for the course.nnSome topics are also very restrictive, we once did a character design which I was excited about but we had to do it based off of one of our lectures favourite game, nobody was interested and it was only done to fluff out a portfolio if you wanted to go to uni.nTalking about uni, this course gives no information to anyone who wants to do anything but uni, I've had no support these whole two years on what I want to do and it's completely stripped away my will to keep on drawing.nnAlso a big key point if you want to do this course, there's a hellish exam every year in which you barely know what to do but have to do it anyways, and when I say hellish you'll never experience anything like it and it's 100% worse than GCSEs.nnAlso the head of art supports AI and I wish I never went here.n-animation year 2 student
I completed a distance learning / on-line Level 3 Mental health course in August 2025. It is now February 2026. Still no certificate. I have been told that the college did not have certification for the course so they would have to obtain this. Then I was told that there was a cyber attack on the college so still cannot get the certificate that I earned and worked hard to get. Far too many excuses!!! You cannot speak to or contact your tutors to ask questions or ask for guidance. I will never again apply to this college for another course.. What's the point? you cant get the certificate for the work completed. Take my advice, Go to another college!!! NO STARS!!!
If you go to Bedford College you're basically cooked, there's less then a 1% chance that you'll not end up stuck in the matrix, I'd recommend doing warehouse then going to this saturated college.
