This is a very late review. I stayed at Gooseford farm in October 2016 and have meant to write to sing its praises since then. It's 10 out of 10 anyway. My wife and I had booked the self-contained accommodation adjacent to the house for 4 days and it was superb. Mary had even made a delicious cake that found its way into the kitchen on our second day there. Cake and tea on the terrace, watching the sun set over Dartmoor - doesn't get much better. All the facilities were clean and well maintained and the super king-size bed was literally a dream. Breakfast was in the main house each day and more than enough to set you up for a day's hike. I even learnt how to use the waffle maker - great fun and the result was very filling! We harvested bread and eggs from Mary for our journey back home, so took a little bit of Gooseford Farm with us; even a little bit of Mary's energy and zest for life. I have already recommended to several friends that they give Mary a call and book themselves in for a stay at the farm because they are worth it! It would also make a deliciously cosy winter stay. Perhaps at the end of this year....Go on; give it a try; otherwise you will always just wonder what it might have been like and will never experience it.

love it here ,comfy rooms ,great hosts and a great place to use as a base to explore the area . 2nd vist won't be the last.

What a beautiful place.It was so clean and quiet. A perfect base to explore the moors and surrounding area. Mary,Julian and the boys make you feel so very welcome. We would definitely be coming back again.

Extremely restful three days with delicious cooked breakfast of various ingredients, more or less cooked to order. Genial banter with Mary, Queen of the Kitchen, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Room clean and comfortable, with a very comfort thought of for our stay. This will be our stopping place for future returns to my beloved home county. Jane and Chris

Fantastic farm B&B and self catering. Characterful farmhouse, edge of Dartmoor, wonderful host, fabulous afternoon tea on arrival and amazing breakfasts. We have to keep returning!
