A absolutely stunning park with a lovely tea and coffee place inside that is a reasonable price, a lovely statue, beautiful scenery, peaceful, a child zoo, toilets, friendly people,nice flowers, a nice big park to walk around and lots of history of how It used to be on YouTube. I also travel to these places on my own and enjoyed walk around on my day off work so there is no reason why you can't do the same and just enjoy being with nature. There is so much I could say about this park I could go on. I mean you can even hire a bike to go around if you have Id on you.
Beautiful, relaxing and "healthy" park by river Thames. So many runners which made you feel like running with them but also a bit worry to bump into them. No cycling park which brough safer feeling but still, some stupid youngsters cycled and though was fun Amazed to see an Oriental building in this Westernized park. Truly a comfortable and chill walk way / park inside the city.
Beautiful park. Zoo entry is £46 for the family 2+2. Public Toilets are available in park. Has lot of plants and trees from Asia, Australia, South Africa, and many other places. Has Waitrose nearby for grabbing food for a picnic at park. Playground: Huge play area next to a large cafe Restrooms: Toilets are available, but they can be maintained a bit better. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of space for pets to play. Picnic area: Plenty of seating and a very spacious park to relax with family for picnic
Summer in London can be lovely, it's the ideal to enjoy the city park. So here we go to the Battersea Park, it is a family, friendly feeling and very peaceful. The area was clean and well maintained. We spent several hours walking around and walked along the Thames as-well which was lovely in the sunshine with a cool late summer breeze.
It was a joy! Me and my family love Battersea Park so much! The English Garden had many unique flowers and the fountain was amazing! The big field had people playing a variety of sports like cricket, football and frisbees. Overall, Battersea Park was amazing. It was pet friendly, non polluted, and very unique. Dog-friendliness: I saw many dogs walking, walking well behaved. Also in the fountain, there were many dogs swimming and having a good time.
We explored this wonderful park, an easy walk along the Thames Path from Battersea Power Station. The Secret Garden is a mini paradise with gorgeous water lilies. The London Peace Pagoda looked fantastic against the blue sky and children were enjoying the fountains area too.
Battersea Park is one of the best being natural, laced with accessible paths, some organised gardens and beds, and beautiful lakes where wildfowl can be seen raising chicks. Well trained or led dogs are welcome. There's a subtropical garden with bananas growing and two peaceful secluded gardens. It has a lovely area with fountains that children tend to play in on hot days. The Pear Tree cafe right next to the lake has live pleasant music at weekends and good food. And two smaller cafes. I go here several times a week. There's plenty of grassy space where people play, chat, celebrate, read and in general respect others although litter in the wooded area can detract. One side runs alongside the Thames, plenty of sunlight and joggers, but everyone considerate of each other. Lovely Peace Pagoda reminding of the vital importance of keeping that. Virtually no posers, scanties or poop. Plenty of sun and shade to wander in. Zoo; although not a fan of caging creatures, it's clean, well kept, children can discover and feed animals, cafe and play area, another 2 playgrounds and ropes course for children and adults. It's evolved wonderfully so you can access play, wander in semi-wild, sit in peace, join a park run, pedalo past tolerant ducks, join the active Pear Tree scene, do yoga, celebrate or hire a bike. Probably the best space for relaxing in this area. Playground: In the zoo, Go-Ape and a big children's playground with parent seating. Restrooms: Two toilet blocks plus Pear Tree anyone can use all free and clean to ok. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of well behaved dogs off the lead, but poop is very well cleared up by responsible owners and they don't chase the ducks, or are on a lead. Picnic area: Anywhere you want - plenty of litter bins to use. Music is ok in the large grassy areas but not too loud.
I went to Battersea Park in July and had a wonderful time. The Thames River view was amazing!!, making it one of my favorite parks in London. Restrooms: There are restrooms, but they are very dirty and most of them are out of order.
Great option to escape a bit from the tourist crowd. Beautiful park, great for riding or for a run without having to dodge lots of people. The walk along the Thames is definitely worth it, and I recommend finishing the tour at Battersea Power Station.
Great day yesterday in Battersea Park for afternoon/evening of Lindy hop/swing and jazz performances. Very clean and spacious venue, efficient security check arrangements with minimal hassle. Lovely array of food & drink stalls as well as entertainment for children topped off by perfect weather
