Barton Kendal have been acting for us for over 6 years and we have always found them to be responsive and provide an excellent service. We have only ever had one complaining tenant (just below this review) and all other tenants have been very satisfied.
There will always be people that cannot be satisfied whatever service they receive even when they leave the garden like a jungle and complain about minor items.
We have also used Barton Kendal in the past for selling and received and exceptional service.

Arranged to have my house valued. Jack told me he would be there at 1pm.....never turned up. Having to take time out from work for the valuation, i wasn't best pleased when Jack couldn't be bothered to turn up. Not even a quick call to say he was running late. I never heard from Jack, not even an apology.  Imagine trying to sell your house with these guys, they probably couldn't be bothered answering possible sale calls. Avoid.

The worst by far of many agencies we have dealt with over the years. Promised repairs would be carried out before we moved in, but did not do the repairs. Repeatedly ignored reports of problems with the property, including to their “emergency line” which was not actually being monitored. Tried to withhold exorbitant charges after we moved out for “remedial work” which was not required and never carried out. If you have to deal with Barton Kendal, we would strongly recommend only doing so in writing and keeping detailed notes and photographic evidence as their word cannot be trusted.

We bought our current house and sold our old one with Barton Kendal.  We found them to be very professional, friendly and helpful.  We would definitely recommend them.  Our thanks to everyone at Barton Kendal for such a great service.

I rent my house through  Barton Kendall and can't fault them.  I was nervous about renting after always owning as you hear such horror stories.  Joanne and Ashley really helped me a lot with viewings until I found the one I wanted and the form filling.  I have had no problems with the property so far but feel sure that they would deal with anything straight away.
