I lived here for few months on rent luckily not owned the house. A few useful facts for anyone making their minds to rent/buy a house here, - The reviews seems fake as everyone i met complained about the poor build of the houses. I have noticed this myself. - If you want to live here and don't like the smell of weed, then i would suggest you to buy masks for all your family members beforehand. - It has unfortunately become the 'red light district' of Milton Keynes. This is the only thing *I* liked about living here as i don't have to travel far to fulfill my needs. However i don't think families with kids would appreciate the constant moans and screams through walls very thin walls. My friend with kids reported it to Barratt Homes and they said that we can't tell people what to do or not to do in the privacy of their homes. My friend sold his house and left. - Since the houses were offered on a very low initial deposit 5%, it mostly attracted migrants and unfortunately most of them can barely speak English. An English speaking person would find themselves living in an alien/ghost community. The good thing about it is that with little effort you will be able to learn a few foreign languages. Just to clarify, i haven't got anything against migrants. I am migrant myself but i believe its important that everyone living in England can communicate in English to some extent.
I completely regret buying a 4 bedroom house in Fairfields. We and especially my wife were dazzled with new interior but soon realised that all that glitters is not gold. Unfortunately it was too late. The homes are very poorly built and are overpriced. There is literally no garden to speak of. No driveway. No garage. You just can't call these buildings homes. There are no parks and greenery. They are trapping people by offering houses with a low initial deposit. Not to forget that the people who are already moved are very unsociable. In a few years time it will be another Wolverton. I am already in the process of selling the house but selling it is a nightmare and i am already losing a hefty sum of money by that i mean way more than my deposit. I am writing this review so that another person is not the victim of my situation. I could have bought a better house with such price in a better locality.
It's new, and quite expensive but very nice place to live, there's a bus that you can get by the entrance of the estate and it goes to stony Stratford and to cmk. There are, at the moment 02/01/2020, no shops within the estate. But you can either drive to stony Stratford or to Fuller's Slade, the estate next door, there is a cost cutter but it's quite expensive, but if you have a house in Fairfield's then you can definitely afford it, but it's limited in the choice of. products. There is a play park for children well into the estate. And i hear there is a pub near by, i have yet to visit but will visit once autumn comes, its kinda cold to explore right now. There's a huge green space for you and your four legged friends to go and relive stress or whatever you want to do. If you plan on buying then put in a reservation asap when something you like comes up as it's a growing city and the price of houses will sky rocket if they haven't already. But wait till the brexit finishes, hopefully its either positive or neutral for homeowners and not negative.
Very very rude and unprofessional staff especially the team leader. Her approach is like you take it or leave we don't care....she need professional mannerism not to judge people as they enter the door.....she missed a business with undercover millionaire. Hope her salary will be flowing from heaven.
Great place to live. More spread out new estate, one of the better looked after estates in Mk.
New Top Topic Place to Live, nice Build House, which one looks So Good, recommend to all this aria
Not sure who is writing all these positive reviews as it can't be any of the residents. The houses are overpriced and the build of the homes are shoddy to say the least. We were moved into our home so early there were still workmen in the building. Once moved in we reported over 100 snags and we are still having issues having been moved just under a year. The quality of the paint is awful, the finish of the flooring is unprofessional. The people who work there are rude and unhelpful. Once they have your money they do not care about you. Please let that be a warning to anyone looking at buying here.
Over priced homes. You could get a nice 4 bed with lots more land/garden in a sought after area for cheaper then their houses.
Lovely neighbourhood and really good schools. The house is fab and top finishing. Very pleased.
Lovely area to live nice size properties and good neighbours
