So far I've only been to Barras Chippy about 5 times in the last couple of months. But their jumbo battered sausage n chips in to die for. The chefs look very trust worthy and experienced. One thing that could be improved... more smiling from the female staff.

Real shame the staff aren’t as nice as the food, well one female staff member, blue streak in her hair. I know it’s a chippy but you aren’t meant to have a chip on your shoulder. As I was waiting for my food I witnessed her talk to several customers like the proverbial. Asking for a cone of chips I assumed they would come in a cone. NOPE. Make sure you say “can I have a cone of chips in a cone please”. They were then thrown into bags and empty cones were given. Foods amazing and all the other staff were fab. As for for the chipzilla, take that cone of chips of your shoulder.
The best real chippy in Coventry. I pull up outside on my mobility scooter and I’m greeted within 30 seconds of pulling up, great friendly service, polite and considerate. And above all their food is absolutely spanking!
Best chippy in town. The chips are amazing. Can’t stand fat stodgy chips and thankfully that’s not what they serve here. Lovely light fluffy soft chips. The kebabs are great as is all the food. Tray of pork and stuffing with chips and gravy is lovely.
My wife loves the Chicken & chips, i love the fish & chips. We also have the pork, stuffing & chips, we tried other chip shops but no where near as good as The Barras. First impressions count with some things. Its always looks clean inside and outside. If the windows look dirty i steer clear. The only issue i have now and again is that the chip portions could be a bit bigger, but apart from that. Top marks for staff, food and hygene.
