Our resident vet is Emma Nicholas, MA VetMB MRCVS. Emma qualified from Cambridge in 1994. She has worked exclusively in small animal practice in London, Hong Kong and County Durham and her interests include radiography and endocrinology.

When we got our puppy last year, I was a little reluctant about using this vet based on some of the reviews, but it is the nearest one to us by some way and we decided to give them a chance. The care they have given my dog Evie has been amazing and I really do recommend them. We’ve been seen to quickly when needed and the staff are all lovely. Sadly we’re moving out to the area so need to find a new vet but I just wanted to thank them for everything.
The care provided by Emma, Harriet, Ben, Bex, and team is compassionate and holistic. They work tirelessly to find the root cause of the most challenging cases including drawing on their networks of other practitioners, and work with you to come up with a treatment plan that considers your pet’s wellbeing, your own wellbeing, and the practicalities of treatment. In my case, they’ve helped navigate challenges with pet insurance coverage and been mindful about recommending treatment that may not be covered. There are few things more reassuring than a vet saying “if she were my dog, this is what I’d do.” I know Emma cares for my dog as if she’s one of her own. My dog has visited many times in the last two years and her only complaint is that they don’t have after hours cuddle service—as captured in this photo.
I feel very lucky that this is my local vet! I've been taking my cat Charlie there since he was a kitten, and the quality of care has always been top notch. Both Dr Emma & Dr Ben are very warm and willing to answer any questions I have. Also, this vet works seamlessly with Charlie's insurance, which means less stress and paperwork for me! The front office team is also great, they give each pet a little bit of love when they come in! Thanks so much for looking after us!
My dog Gucci has been registered at Medivet Barons Court practice for years now and I've always been happy with the service. The team lead by Emma are very caring and Emma in particular always takes her time to explain all the details and options which is very much appreciated. Highly recommended if you live in the neighbourhood. The team are wonderful and always easy to get appointments.
We have been using Barons Court Vets for years for our 4 cats. The nurses and vets are consistently kind, considerate and helpful. I highly recommend them.
RUDE and DISMISSIVE VET doctor. It’s my family’s first time to own a puppy so we’ve been clueless in most things and obviously we try to ask the vet questions even the things that mind sound silly, to make things more uncomfortable this Female Vet dr, sighs before she answers every question and cuts me off before I could finish. She responds very rudely as if I’m asking if the sky is blue that my pet questions are public knowledge or rule of thumb that we should all innately know. Honestly, looking for a new vet as it’s just gets frustrating when she handles my puupy.
Thank you to all the staff and especially Emma for always taking such good care of my two girls Amber and Biscuit i always leave Barons Court vet with peace of mind and never out of pocket thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism this is my 18th year and my 4th and 5th dog thank you
I have used this practice for many years and find them knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. I have no doubt that all the vets and the nurses/support staff have my animals' welfare foremost in their minds but they are also good at explaining the best course of action to take whenever a medical situation arises. All three of my dogs are happy to go to the vet, which I think is a good indicator of an excellent practice.
