Horrific customer service with no interest to resolve serious issues! You are better off buying a used car from gumtree or eBay, it will have been checked better and be in a finer condition! The car below is about a 2017 650i sold to me for over £30k!! This review is on the back of me sending the dealership over 5 emails, various calls and zero communication from Barons Borehamwood BMW over a one month period! Lets see how fast they respond below. Twitter, pi****offconsumer and any other social media forums I can find, reviews pending over the same matter. The reason they have 1 star is its the minimum possible! After being assured the car had undergone multiple checks and conforms to BMW standards... • As soon as I drive out of the showroom, a service warning flashes on the dashboard, service due! Picture below. • Brakes & Oil. After being told its gone through their workshop and all was fine. Unacceptable the oil was last changed over 3 years ago!! And considering the clock says its due in 2023 a further year from this post I suspect someone has fiddled with the clock. Unless BMW confirm the car needs an oil change at 15k miles or every 4 years! • The front tyre cut/tear to side wall which appears quite deep. I’ve been advised by an independent MOT garage, this should not have passed the MOT, which they have issued me with! Besides the fact the valve wasn't glued on therefore not sure what checks had been done. Text copied from internet: "The 650i features a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 that produces 445 horsepower. With this V8, the 6 Series can go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds." A very fast car sold with a loose front tyre valve, thankfully run flats were on the car and I'm not a speed demon! • On the external door handle, driver side, plastic chrome trim is loose and popping out. • Car was presented very poorly internally and externally! I had to get the car professionally cleaned and car stank of cigarettes. Picture below of cigarette ash in window rubbers. Externally the car covered in scratches. • Consideration for the tyre valve that I’ve had to resolve and the safety issue of the sidewall tear. I paid to resolve as an emergency after hours as was stranded. • The boot internal rubber coming off and I’ve stuck it down. • M stickers missing from alloys. Most minor of all! I made it very clear I'm interested in getting the above resolved nothing more!
I have been here twice. Once was for diagnostics and then for the replacement of the faulty part. Each time I was greeted with a smile and efficiency. My car was parked for me and I was able to work and drink complimentary coffee while they repaired the fault. I was kept updated throughout my time there and then it was cleaned inside and out on the house. Amir was exceptional. For me, certainly, it has been a great experience each time. Jennifer and both receptionists we're amazing front of house.
Very poor service. Absolute rip off and joke of a people. I have a clutch issue with my car and they ran a diagnostic on my car, they charge only £234 just to use a computer to tell us there’s an issue with the clutch. Absolute joke. They only care about your money, they don’t care about serving their customers or looking after them. They charged us over £2,000 just to replace the fly wheel and the clutch, I got it quoted somewhere else and now they will charge much more less than these people. You are honestly better off going to a standard mechanic then these guys. Dealers are a complete joke, kept my car for 3 days and did absolutely nothing. They also pulled my camera off and didn’t even bother to put it back on. My mum took her Honda to get it run on a diagnostic tests, they charged £0. These guys charged £234.00. Absolutely disappointed. Manufacturers of BMW are driving their loyal BMW customers away by ripping off their customers by using a computer to tell us there is a problem with the clutch Outside franchisers are charging maximum £1200 to fix the clutch and fly wheel and these people are charging £2,100 to do the work. DO NOT go to these people! Save your hard earned money. Amy, the advisor is a clown who pretended to understand where I was coming from but didn’t really care.
Excellent service. I had lost one of the keys to my 2008 Mini Cooper, so had Group1 produce a replacement. However, it failed to work. So, took the key and car to Group1 who resolved the issue; being down to a 3rd key which needed the system reset to allow it's use. Then, while there, as a gesture of goodwill, at no extra charge, they ran a quick check over the mini to let me know of any potential issues, of which there were few. Even received an online video report. Very impressed. Staff were very friendly and helpful the whole time, particularly at reception.
I had thought about going to an independent garage for my full service to save on cost, however the service I received, particularly from Kerry, made me glad I stuck with Group 1 BMW Borehamwood. The process was simple, Kerry was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the added touch of receiving a short video of the inspection gave me added confidence. Cost was exactly as quoted with no hard sell for additional work. I would recommend.
Haven't been here for a few years, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of customer service. Everyone I had contact with was pleasant, friendly and professional. They dealt with my car efficiently and returned it gleaming !
Fantastic service from the team at Barons Borehamwood. It all starts with the first engagement; booking online before a courtesy message leading up to my appointment. On the day, everyone is working as a well oiled team from parking the car, being welcomed at the door before speaking with your representative for the day. Omer provided clear information about the day, running through details of the work due to be carried out, the time it will take and confirming I am welcome to work from the site which is well designed for both privacy and refreshments as you wait. On completion of the work, it was clear my car had been well looked after by the mechanics whilst Omer went above and beyond with some additional recommendations about my car highlighting how great service should be provided. Will of course be back. Thanks Barons.
Extremely helpful from the word go. Kerry Sullivan kept me in the loop throughout and was very pleasant to deal with. I even requested if they could have the car ready for 4pm due to a Jewish holiday and they did!
I recently bought an 8 series. Upon handover I was presented with a smashed display key and told a member of staff must have dropped it and then put it back in their cabinet without telling anyone. A new display key was to be ordered along with a bmw leather key case and a paint stick as there were a few marks noticed which were not stated when the video was sent to me as I bought this remotely as I live on the south coast. Jodie told me on multiple occasions these items were on order and would be sent to me. I received the key but despite multiple messages I have subsequently just been ignored and 4 months down the road have not received the items. ADDITION: No I have not had this issue resolved and no contact from any member of staff
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the guys here at BMW, in particular the lady I was dealing with Kerry - what a star she is. So helpful, calm and kind in the way she dealt with everything. Superb people skills as well. 5* experience
