Both the food and drinks here are lovely! Been here many times in the past for some drinks and only just tried the food and was certainly not disappointed! Cocktails can definitely be on the slightly pricey side, but definitely worth it as I've never had one I didn't like. Would definitely recommend trying to get seated on the terrace if the weather isn't too bad, it's lovely! Will definitely be returning again :
Wasn't sure on the staff at first as they didn't greet us when we first arrived on the roof terrace, but we soon found them to be friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent although a little bit slow between courses, however that was fine with us as we were there for a leisurely lunch with drinks as well.
Couldn't have asked for better, service was outstanding. Lovely chilled seating on the terrace for food and drinks. Food was beautiful and so were the mango margaritas.
We sat on the terrace for a drink. It took us that long to get served we nearly left but we sat it out because we’d just turned out. We would understand if it was busy but it was not! We ordered a pint of Peroni and a pint of Grolsch they were both absolutely rubbish. We told the waiter who wasn’t interested. Definitely would not return to here in a hurry as there are so many other establishments offering better.
Staff were very friendly, we arrived with bags as we were on our way to the station. Staff offered to put the bags on the back for us. Service was was very fast food was exceptional. We had the roast dinners, so much food it only just fit on the plate. Excellent value for money would definitely return here. I think our servers name was Lucy who couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had a very nice experience.
It is the ideal place to enjoy any type of drink, indoors or outdoors, in Newcastle. It has a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and reasonable prices.Service: 5/5
Had a wonderful dining experience at Barluga today. Would definitely recommend the sharing platters. The waiting staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful! Loved the ambiance of the restaurant, cosy and intimate. We had a sharing platter, 3 mains and drinks which came to £90, which we thought was good value for what we ordered.Food: 5/5
Just fabulous. I went with a friend, we were not sure where to go, pop in for a drink. The waitress came & took our order & we did what friends do & chat. The music was nice but not to loud. By then we spied the food been served & decided to stay. We were taken to our table by the same waitress, given a menu, & told what the special was, it was some beef can quite remember the name, any way we ordered it & it was absolutly melting in the mouth!!! Had a pudding, just as nice & left. On if the best Saturday afternoon, in a long, long time.
The place was quite busy with the restaurant area already pre-booked but we were seated conveniently nearby. The service was good and the food and drinks were served quite quickly. The only slight problem was that one of the party did not get dessert, as it had been forgotten originally. The staff were very apologetic and offered to get it but the guest decided not to bother. Overall, though, it was an enjoyable experience Parking: This is a city centre venue and pedestrianisation/cycle lanes has reduced vehicular access and available parking in the area near the venue. There is some on street parking, and a multi storey carpark about 7 to 10 minutes walk.
Food was really nice. Beef was cooked to perfection. However, the portion size and amount of veg was abysmal. Don’t go if you’re hungry, or want spend a lot of money on 3 courses.
