When I had issues setting up my bank account they went out of their way to help me. It was something they hadn’t seen occur before, during the process, they kept me informed and in regular contact. Staff especially Kerry were friendly and patient. I for one was very happy with the experience at this branch.
My husband visited this branch and had to wait over 20 minutes to pay in cash. This often happens as there is only one cashier. The bank was very hot - not a very pleasant experience. If we were private customers, we would definitely close our account and bank somewhere where the customer is looked after better.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I moved to Spain and have tried to change my address in Barclays system. It seems impossible. I cannot speak to my branch in Newton Abbot as I am routed to India or Bangladesh or somewhere and told to call back in 1 hour. My bank card expires in a few weeks and I cannot speak to anybody for advice or support. Barclays have a few thousand pounds of my money and I will not be able to access it because our cards will expire and I cannot speak to anybody who is not a Customer service operator somewhere else in the world. Apparently I must fly back to the UK with my wife as joint account holder and visit the branch with passports and other papers to prove where we live.......... costing hundreds of pounds........ just to change our address..
Pity that this branch is closed on Tuesdays, maybe this is the thin edge of the wedge, is it in line to CLOSED down in the future. If so, what will we have today, the others around here seem to be cold and unfriendly.
Hate it.1 member of staff ran off their feet.took 10 minutes of standing around before i was even noticed even tho had called for help on the system. Wont be going there again
Been trying to open a new account for two months, working Mon - Friday and they don't open on Saturday
