Let's face it, it's not often we have something good to say about a bank, but I had to leave this review. I have a close friend who is in the early stages of mental decline. We needed to go to this branch to get some of his finacial affairs in order. Without going into detail, I just wanted to say that, firstly we were approached by Nigel to help us - a lovely chap with a calm and patient manner. He asked how he could help, but we really needed to speak with a cashier. That's where Jonathan came in. He could immediately see that this was a situation that needed patience, and tact. His good nature and knowledgable approach meant that we resolved the issue without fuss and in a timely manner. He also made some suggestions as to how we could make things easier for all concerned in the future. It would be a crime if management didn't see this review and give those staff involved a much deserved pat on the back - it will show that they care about the people that work for them. They can prove this by leaving a reply to this review within 14 days. If there isn't one, you'll know that they didn't feedback to their staff. That's it.
I've been a Barclays customer for over 7 years and this Barclays is one of the best ones! Nigel one of the staff was very helpful with my enquiries and overall experience was great!
Linda at Twickenham branch was extremely helpful yesterday, our account was blocked, but she took the time and got on the phone while we were there, got it all sorted, she answered all our questions, she was very pleasant, friendly and more than happy to help. We left very pleased , so well done Linda, best wishes.
Reduced hours, getting more difficult to use as a bank. Probably shut in the next 12 months. Blame covid & brexit like everyone else. No valid reason, only cut backs and poor customer service. Staff are great but not head office expecting it to be gone soon.....
I had an issue with my account which took some time and patience to sort out. Jonathan dealt with it effectively and with a smile. Great service and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Jonathan… keep up the great work!
I'm only leaving one star as I can't leave anything less. A bank that's open for four hours a day and closed on weekends is rediculous. Further to this, they only ever have two counters open max, so you queue for 30 to 45 minutes just to get inside. The cash point outside doesn't work, which means you need to queue to go inside even if you don't want a counter service. There are no self service machines like in Kingston so you have to use a counter to pay money in. I asked a member of staff today could I use the cash point first as K needed to go to the counter afterwards anyway I was clearly next in line after I used said cash point she approach me stating "were you really next in line" the accusatory tone was insulting. Closing the Teddington branch was such a mistake. If you need Barclays just go to Kingston. This one is a shambles.
Barclays Bank is exact what I need but cant say the same for this branch. For me the money is time and it looks like the staff of this branch dont think so or are just time wasters unreasonably making too lot of attention to security questions. What can be better proof of identity than personal presence with ID? This is the only branch where I spent 1-2 hours answering to security questions second time of three visits. Its frustrating even more that after all these questions I have got an answer that I have to call bank on Monday as today is Saturday! Will never ever use this branch even if it is closest one.
Whitton branch closed, this branch always has a queue at lunch time when working people can do their banking business and just one staff at the counter. I don't wish to travel to the Hounslow branch!!
The service at this bank is appalling Long queues constantly long waiting times Only one service till open They should be totally ashamed at what they deliver to their customers.
What a DISGRACE for a bank to treat customers in such a shoddy fashion. went to trade in my old 5ers and was told because I didn't have the right kind of account they would not do it. Well, I have news for you Barclay, I was in Twickenham penning a new contract for services in the UK with a technology company and guess which bank I WON'T be using for our business needs in the UK?
