Has got to be the worst bank in Burton. Traditional banking is dead and buried! The staff are great and do try their best to help but the one till system and everything else being automated has ruined the customer experience.

All other banks open at 9am but Barclays opens at 9.30am.  Not good when you need to nip in and out before work without missing time of work.  Also one till system !!

After being a customer for ten years i wanted to open a savings account, i phoned the call centre to make an appointment  who were very helpful and actually called the branch for me..they told me that they would call me back ..upon reaching the branch spoke to the  "customer services " girl who informed me that they were far to busy to call me back and i could wait if i wanted to but i still might not be seen. She was as rude and unhelpful as it was possible to be..I went over the road to Nationwide who couldn't have been more helpful and opened a savings account..im now seriously considering changing my current account to them as well..obviously  customers aren't important to Barcleys anymore!

Only tried to get a branch phone number..ended up on a PPI website..really sad

Treated with contempt when closing an account. Avoid. Lloyds bank nearby is a better alternative.
