Went in this morning to pay in some cash. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff. My husband quickly realised he had lost his credit card. Someone had already handed this in and another lady at the bank was about to give my husband a phone call. Fantastic friendly service. Thank you.

Today I went to the West Bromwich bank with my wife and my father. The reason is because my father wanted to transfer some money to me as a gift because I will buy a house and he wants to help me. There in the office that was supposed to "serve" us was an Indian woman we don't know her name. Literally she wouldn't let my father transfer the money because she said don't give it as a gift, give it as a loan and she insisted, while my father explained to her that he is not interested in what she was saying but he wants to give it as a gift he will do the same with his other children and she used to tell us without us even asking her that many children make fun of their parents and steal them, as if my father is stupid and old. But the highlight is that she insulted my pregnant wife by saying that because my wife might be from Western Europe which she isn't but it doesn't matter she can fool him and steal his money. Above all, when my father got angry with all these insults, she brought security to the office as if we were criminals. And I ask now, can't a man who has worked for so many years take his money out of the bank and do whatever he wants with it? Let me note that many times this bank for various reasons that my father has gone to did not service him at all. But these are life lessons after 7 years in this bank for sure he no longer trusts his money to such people and left.

Barcalays has always been the worst and this time the was no difference it’s always such a long wait in every branch I would not use it again if I could.
Terrible branch terrible customer service rude and unhelpful staff every single time will be leaving them asap
This my local branch and over the last 10 years that I have used this branch I have had some good and really bad experiences. However, this December I deposited some money using a branch machine but the money was never processed by the machine. After, a few enquiries with Barclays online teams and a few call I was told to go to the branch as they would have to check that particular machine that I have used as there was no record of the deposited money. I went to the branch a 09:30 on 28th December 2023. The member of staff that deal with this was NANA. She resolved the issue very efficiently despite it being a very complex problem. Despite telling me it could take upto 7 days before it is fully resolved. Nana called me on the same day at 16:00 to confirm that they have identified the problem with the machine and that the money will be deposited into my card. As it took some time for this to appear on the system and this to be seen by the online Barclays team. I was again told to go to my branch do that they can confirm the issue with the machine . When, I went back on the 29th December 2023 Nana was already working on this and dealing with the relevant teams even before I had request that additional explanation to be sent to the online teams. She was very professional and reassuring that everything will be resolved. I was quite worried as the amount of money that was missing was not small. She dealt with everything very efficiently, the best team members that I have ever encountered in this branch. All the information that she gave me was correct, unlike some of the confusing information I got from the online teams. Very grateful for her service. Wishing her all the very best in her career. Nana thank you again, I really appreciate everything you have done to fully resolve this problem. I felt that you really took this issue to heart and went above and beyond to fix it. I am still waiting for an email from Barclays to give this member of staff the deserved feedback. Therfore, I have decided to give her a shot out here, as her amazing service has to be recognised.
