The current rating really puzzles me. This bank always provides the highest levels of service in my books. A slight wait is no problem - I enjoyed my visit today and do recommend unreservedly.
1 member of staff at lunchtime and no counter staff, only machines. Even when I did eventually get to a machine, it was out of order! So just walked out.
Useless didn’t even make it 5 steps before being told to go and use the website instead of trying to help
Great staff, only problem is they have been replaced by machines, needed to speak to someone regarding my account, only problem is I had to wait over 45 minutes to see a member of staff the first timewithout a queue. And second time I was told we're low on staff, honest which is a bonus, but not very helpful, again banks putting their profits before their customers. So another wait of over an hour. Absolutely Shocking! I bank with a number of other banks such as NatWest and Nationwide, I also have this problem with NatWest. Nationwide however do seem to be slightly better.
I had an unauthorized transaction post office, useless online through app help staff. Staff in branch went above and beyond, i don’t know her name I’m afraid; but she sorted it all out and have the money back already. So pleased to bank with Barclays Chichester
Really poor system of customer management. Ask to wait 25 minutes to make an appointment, to speak about an account. Arrived at appointed time 3 days later and had to wait 20 minutes, due to running late. Meeting took 7 minutes to complete transaction. Appalling waste of time, so in efficient.
They're incompetent & I cannot recommend them. On the phone, you wait ages then get cut off. I've tried to set up a Direct Debit 3 times it's STILL not done. I've written,phoned & been in, in person. I also closed one account & amalgamated it with another & they tried to charge me bank charges for going overdrawn on the account which I had instructed them to close. Obviously there was no money in it as they had transferred all funds to the other account. My advice, go to any other bank instead.
Ridiculous , waiting time way too long. They were eating chocolate and having a chat with each other. Will not use barclays ever again
Excellent service. I requested for a bank statement for my working visa application and barclays in chichester provided it instantly. Thank you especially Peter !
