Heart and soul of the town. My whole family loves Red Lion Books and the staff. They've been such an important part of our whole households love of literature. I can get my kids to go to any boring town based task if I promise a quick trip to Red Lion!! Thank you Red Lion Books for everything that you do!
What a lovely little book shop! Crams in far more than you'd expect, gives you a personal experience as opposed to chain bookstores and there's an amazing children's section. Accessibility to a basement level will be difficult for those with physical disabilities it's a little old building so staff are very happy to browse and collect for you.
Amazing staff - who go the extra mile. Brilliant customer care. Always willing to help and very knowledgeable. If you need a book go to an independent book seller such as red lion bookshop.
Cute little bookstore. On the fiction wall they did have the paperback and hardback separated which meant I had to search twice as long for the specific author I was looking for ended up not finding them as the authors became jumbled up around G-L. It looks clean and overall well taken care of. I just think this oversight can be a hindrance instead of putting all the authors books together instead of in two separate spots.
Nice independent book shop on Colchester High St. Worth finding. Good selection. Enthusiastic staff. Go there
An independent book shop with an excellent selection of titles and authors. An informative and friendly staff with an easy to navigate selection of books. Highly recommended.
I called in search of local author, Ronald Blyth who died today, aged 100 and immediately found two of his books by the door. As I ventured further, I found an armful of books I would happily buy if I could carry them all home. I had to decide.
A fabulous book shop. Their events are the best, from meet the author to their monthly book club for children.
One of the friendliest independent book shops I've ever been into. The staff are knowledgeable and are able to answer almost any question that you may have on books at least, I have never challenged them on orthopedic foot care. Beware though, you'll want to buy loads of books!
Recommended by a relative. Super friendly and helpful staff! Bought The Queens Wardrobe.
