It's a nice, clean, welcoming place to go have a chill out. Especially like the continuous coffee refills when bought as part of their meal deal. No issues at all here and I've been a few times.
Bar Zero offers so much more than a sober bar, it's a community resource that actually saves lives, heals familys empowers individuals and is used as a training facility that impacts community's on a level that can never be truly calculated. As soon as you step into the place, the warm comfort of the place welcomes you in from the northan cold into an atmosphere that is relaxed and tranquil. You are immediately confronted with the solution to the addiction problem that has plagued community's like Middlesbrough throughout Britain. Immediately you are face with five portraits of famous actors like Antony Hopkins, Peter o'Toole and Bradly Cooper who celebrate their joy of being sober in a way that makes you feel at home as if you know in your guts " Theses are my people, I am at last at home"  a welcome relief for those of us that have never really felt comfortable in our own skin in places where the general public meet. It's an enviroment that puts recovery first. However, I DIDNT have a coffee so in that regard I am a poor reference as my personal experiance cannot be shared but if your looking for a place to connect with other like minded people that this is Definitely the place to be. The open plan area and the freedom to move the furniture about to suit you and your functions need is definitely my first choice when coming to Middlesbrough to facilitate my trainings. Sitting above fork in the road, the resturant below offers the community and general public the opportunity to bring back dignity to the entire town of Middlesbrough. Addressing the huge stigma that is surrounding substance misuse, ex offenders and people suffering with mental health issues as a whole. The enviroment and the facility is what is termed a recovery capital creator. A land mark that is proof the the culture of recovery is possiable. It is evident that community organisations like this teaches its patrons that a life of meaning and purpose is not only achievable but, it profitable and sustainable. Not profitable in the terms of pounds and pence but in this Huge costs that are are achieved in terms of harm Reduction and the cost to civil society,  the national health system , the criminal justice system and our future as citizens of planet earth. Bar Zero offers a place of saftey , sanctuary and general well being that is way before it's time. I believe that what Recovery Connections , Bar Zero and The fork in the road are offering the Middlesbrough community is a model that will be replicated through the county and then Britan as a whole. It's almost impossible to measure the impact a little room , upstairs of a restaurant offering a space for people living a life of mission and purpose can do for the world. It is with complete gratitude and humility I write this post for Bar Zero, The Fork in the Road and Recovery Connections. All my love and deepest respect David Collins.

Absolutely fantastic food is good and the coffee is good good for anyone who was on the road 2 recovery
I go to West Coast Swing class here, beautifully furnished.
